"Nice place to camp amongst the trees on a beach of black lava pebbles. Reservations are checked around sunset. Tidy portaloos without smell. The road in is not signposted, but google is accurate. Turn into the viewing point just after the sideroad if coming from Kona. The road down is shingle but can be driven with 2wd going slowly."
"A must see n do ! 10.5 miles north of the Kona airport, past mile marker 83. Use the Vista overlook to safely turn around and access this Hard to Find, not well marked road. Slowly drive down this maintained dirt road to the fork. Stay right and park at the end. Walk north down the beach approx 400 yards, to find this Fine lava tube filled with fresh water ! Bring shoes, a bicycle helmet, a kick-board and a headlamp for an interesting swim in a lava tube !"
