"Twin Falls is an amazing! The hike up was relatively easy and it was great that you could stop at each of the two falls leading up to the "big one". While the trail itself isn't more than a 30 minute hike each way, we spent plenty of time at each of the falls. Be sure to wear water shoes or Keen-style shoes as the water crosses the trail 2-3 times and is typically a couple of inches deep. Swimming is also possible in some or all of the pools at the bottom of the falls, so be sure to wear your suit and bring a towel. FYI - the water can be a bit chilly!"
"Worth it! Upper was closed for potential flash flooding which we were bummed about. The two lower falls and swimming holes were fun. Watched kids as little as 5 or 6 years old and adults in their 70’s jump off the cliffs … Super easy walk to both maybe 5 minutes"
"The Twin Falls hike in Maui, Hawaii, is an excellent option for anyone looking for a beautiful and adventurous experience. Despite the $10 price tag and long wait for parking, this hike offers some of the most picturesque scenery on the island. The trail itself is well-maintained, and the signs along the way make it easy to follow. The path is relatively easy, and even those without hiking experience can complete the trek without too much difficulty. The hike features several waterfalls and swimming holes, making it a great option for families with children. The cool, clear water of the falls is refreshing and provides a much-needed break from the heat of the Hawaiian sun. One of the most impressive aspects of the hike is the lush greenery that surrounds the trail. The dense vegetation creates a serene environment that is both calming and rejuvenating. The variety of plants and trees on the trail are a feast for the senses, providing a unique opportunity to explore Hawaii's natural beauty up close. In terms of logistics, the hike can be crowded, and parking can be a bit of a hassle. However, once you're on the trail, the crowds thin out, and it's easy to find a private spot to relax and take in the stunning scenery. Overall, the Twin Falls hike is an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of Hawaii. The $10 price tag is a small price to pay for the breathtaking views and refreshing swimming holes. While the wait for parking can be frustrating, it's well worth it once you're on the trail. I highly recommend this hike to anyone visiting Maui and looking for an unforgettable adventure."
"$10 to park, which feels fair. 2 waterfalls are very close to the parking lot. The other about a 25 minute walk one way. To see the upper falls you will need to wade through two streams about ankle to mid calf deep. I always wear waterproof shoes, but the crossings were too deep for them. You’re actually better off with Tevas or some sort of hiking sandal. Overall worth the money and I would recommend."
"This was our first stop on the Road to Hana. It was worth stopping and walking around. There were several waterfalls and large pools where people could swim if they wanted to, although the day we went was cloudy and rainy, so definitely not ideal. There were some portable restrooms and a small stand selling bug spray and snacks. Make sure you wear bug spray! I got eaten alive while we were there. Also, be aware that there is a $10 fee for parking."
