She shared many stories about local history and legends as well as knowing many local shops and food trucks to stop at that were great. We got to try several local foods and meet some great people. "Our driver was Mar and she was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable about all things Hawaii, ocean, flora, and fauna. We loved getting to know her and learning from her experience. She showed genuine interest in getting to know all of us as well. We also experienced a great variety of attractions on this beautiful windy twisty road. We visited the north shore at Ho'okipa Beach and saw sea turtles, surfers, and huge waves. We saw amazing giant Rainbow Eucalyptus trees, which I love, and passed the Bamboo forest. We explored the quaint town of Hana where we enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch. We walked amongst the rainforest's flora and fauna during heavy rains and still had so much fun. Our guide, Melissa was the best…very knowledgeable about the hidden sites, while also including the history and culture of all things Maui.
