"Levi, the owner of Vanover Cabinets received two hutch cabinet glass paned doors from me about a year ago. These two doors (pictured) were of immense value to me, literally the ONLY things I had from my grandmother, brought here from Germany in the 1930s by my mother. There is a Holocaust story with these. I brought them to Levi to help me make two personal display cases. I asked him to give me an estimate for the design. After 5 calls and two no shows on arranged meetings (for me to deliver a deposit), I realized this was trouble. Trying to find my doors in his shop with his shop assistant resulted in nothing, they were gone. I contacted the police (no help, of course in Maui - they don't care about stolen property unless you have a receipt -.even if you're waiting for an estimate). This cabinet maker has no integrity. Levi dodges appointments (why?), and is not professional. After over 11 months of him ignoring my six respectful calls, I walked in unannounced, I surprised him and demanded my property. Thank goodness they were found then. Who does that? All I wanted was to pay a cabinet maker to make me two cabinets. All he had to do was answer my call. Show up. Horrible experience. Not trustworthy. An entire year of real heartbreak."
