"Kirkwood is a ghost town in September. Bring your own food to prepare your meals in the well equiped kitchen. (The nearest restaurant is 6 miles away at Kit Carsen Lodge on beautiful Silver Lake). The surrounds are stunning, almost indescribable. You will be impressed. The owner has created a very special place, and is very helpful with directions and entry is easy."
