Lake Tahoe Accommodations

"We rented unit 251 at 333 Ski Way, Incline Village. The unit was described as " Luxury". The unit was anything but " Luxury". What little furnishing that were there could best be descripted as discount furniture store modern. In the bedroom there was one small table for the TV, but not a dresser. The lighting in the family room was so poor that LTA went out and purchased two standing lamps. The TV service was provided by the free Roku platform. If the cheap unit owner had checked he would have known to get local TV channels he would need either cable TV or an antenna. The only programs that we got were 20+ year movies. The Roku movie channel had advisements. The final straw was the exterior of the Condo complex was being painted, for two days the patio and windows were wrapped in plastic. Not only did we feel like being in cave also, we could not let in the fresh mountain air. Before LTA rents this unit as "Luxury" they should require the owner to up grade the furnishings. Failure to do so , then unit should be adverished what is -- an economy unit"

"When visiting South Lake Tahoe for a weeklong family vacation, we rented unit 793B through Lake Tahoe Accommodations. Although the views were beautiful, the unit itself was very outdated. The house is designed to sleep 6 people but only has a 50-gallon hot water tank. That gives each person approximately a 5 minute or less shower. Not to mention it was very difficult to physically get to the unit. If you were elderly or have trouble walking, this isn’t the unit for you. The worst part of our trip was when the bathroom in the basement started to have issues. Brown water was coming up through the drain of the bathtub and the toilet was overflowing. When we called maintenance, they claimed that they should be able to get a plumber out to fix the issue but were unsuccessful. By the next morning, water began flowing out of the toilet which was combined with feces. This essentially rendered the bathroom completely unusable. Furthermore, feces contaminated water started flowing out of the bathroom and into the carpet of the unit. Not only is this extremely unsanitary, but it also smelled, TERRIBLE. I will admit that the company did give us the option to move units BUT it was a smaller unit over 30 minutes away from where the rest of our family members were staying and at a different ski hill. We ended up not moving units so we could remain close to our family members and stayed with them. Although, we were essentially unable to reside in our unit for the last 3 days due to the smell. To make matters worse, the company has a “satisfaction guarantee” if you are not happy with your stay. It specifically says, “We will refund 100% of your money if you are not satisfied with the vacation home you rent from us”. When talking to management about a financial compensation for our stay, we requested AT LEAST to be refunded for the 3 days our unit was inhabitable. The only thing they offered us was 600 dollars which is essentially the equivalent of less than a one-night stay. When we requested more of a financial compensation, they stated that they believed 600 was a “sufficient amount”. That satisfaction guarantee was one of the reasons we decided to book with Lake Tahoe Accommodations. Overall, this was a very upsetting experience, and I will not be recommending this place to anyone."

"We stayed in one of the Incline Village Homes. We had a little league tournament. Perfect location, Convenient to the ballpark and grocery store. Very comfy home well equipped. And clean! Staff was very friendly and helpful!!"

"Very inefficient and time-consuming check-in process. Doesnt matter if you've booked through Airbnb they still make you fill out a ton of paperwork and provide all sorts of info. Very behind the times."
