"Very cool little nature trail. Good views of the lava rock and volcanos."
"Cool litte hike to break up the Saddle Road drive. This trail starts right next to the parking area goes clockwise around the cinder cone. It’s about 350yds in length and takes around 15-20 minutes to complete. Once you’re at the top you’ll get a great 360 degree view that includes Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea with its observatories. It’s a moderate hike with a couple spots that may require taking it slow. When you’re ready to descend you’ll have a few options to select… the sign at the bottom will help you find them."

"Beautiful hike on an island on an island! It's a moderate hike if you choose to go left first. Remember you're already at 5000 ft elevation starting. Take water, wear sunscreen, closed toed shoes recommended & a hat. Enjoy!! Take your trash with you!!"
