"Should have read the reviews beforehand - I've learned my lesson. Just like the others we've paid for a ride to the Lanai airport (and back) just to be told they don't have a car despite booking ahead online. You guys really need to sort your s..t out - this is not ok!"

"Just like the other reviews listed, when I arrived they did not have any vehicles available, even though I had a reservation. Nothing against the employees at the airport because they were super helpful in providing additional options to still get in a car. Unfortunately, they are placed in a horrible situation with the company not providing enough rentals and allowing people to still make reservations. I even called 24 hours in advance, after reading the reviews, and the mainland agent assured me they’d have a vehicle if I had a reservation. Please, save yourself the hassle, rent somewhere else."

"BE AWARE!!!! This company has reservations for cars in Expedia that do not exist. I rented a car for April 2, when I arrived at the island on the ferry and met the shuttle driver that will take me to pick up the car. I was told immediately that unfortunately there will be no car available for me. That this happens daily where people arrive to the island with a reservation but no car waiting for them. Apparently this company only has 2 jeeps available only, but they make like 20 reservations a day so only the first two people that come and get the jeep get a car. This is something that has been happening for years. Expedia is aware of the complains and the company but this cars are still available to reserve and you receive a confirmation. I was charge 50$ for a roundtrip from the ferry to the airport only to confirm that what I was told was true. I was then left stranded on a beach all day, I was not able to go to any of the places I wanted to see on Lanai because the island has no public transportation. I was able to get on the next ferry out of the island. But lost 150$ on ferry tickets, taxi, food, etc... to just ride on a boat for an hour and half. Expedia claimed it was not their fault and Aces has not answered my complains. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR OVER A YEAR ALREADY."

"I reserved a car here and they did not allow me to get a car because they do not offer insurance and I do not have insurance of my own since I do not own vehicle ( I rent a car all year only due to traveling for work) and they would not accept my Chase credit card primary insurance. I have never had this happen in 10 years of renting cars for half of the year each. The manager was nice and explained everything but said I got this information which I clearly did not so thanks for leaving me without a vehicle and ruining my 2 day plans. All other vehicles were booked that day on the island."
