"Reason why I will not be returning as a client: Main reason: Referred to my hair as “n***a shit”. I am a black woman and once that comment was made I should’ve left. 1. Swore up and down that I needed to detox my hair with baking soda, lemons and ACV in order to get gel out of my hair 2. Was VERY ROUGH when she was detangling my hair with a brush and started from root to end. That’s a BIG NO for natural hair. Stated she know she was heavy handed and never tried to adjust herself as she was watching me flinch 3. As she was “detangling” my hair, said that my hair was breaking off because I don’t detangle my hair but if she wasn’t rough it wouldn’t have happened 4. After sitting under the dryer, she then used the blow dryer to straighten my hair out and again was very rough. AGAIN, started from the root of my hair and combing through to the ends. 5. When she finished blow drying my hair, she said I was done and had to remind her I was getting a silk press. She DID NOT use heat protectant on my hair because she said it was going to cause build up. How does that make sense. YOU NEED TO PROTECT MY HAIR. 6. Said EXTRA $45 for a TRIM 7. My hair was NOT silk pressed and was simply flat ironed and looked like I did it at home 8. I was not pleased with the results and cried in my car and only paid so I could leave because my experience was bad There are others on the island that can do a proper silk press! Please do research!"
