Really affordable, especially for the quality you get and being in Kailua. You can tell it's run by a local boy – the sushi feels authentic, fresh, and just hits different. The place has a cool, laid-back vibe, perfect for grabbing a bite with friends or chilling solo. We go after hiking olomana. The crew here deserves a shoutout too. Super friendly, they make you feel right at home. They know their stuff and are happy to help with recommendations.Do yourself a favor and try the Lava Bowl. Trust me, it's a game-changer. "We’re very happy Local Boy Sushi opened a second location. I really enjoy the food here. This review is regarding the Kailua location. There is a small seating area inside. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I just wish this location served burgers and fries. lol! I’ve been back a few times after my first visit and I’ll definitely be there again."
"The Poke was fresh, flavorful, and a good value. I was initially skeptical, as they serve only brown rice, no white rice, with the Poke. Let it be known, the Poke with brown rice was fantastic. The desserts were the highlight and biggest surprise. Wow, the Sweet Potato Haupia Pie and the Bread Pudding were unbelievable - solid "10". I can't stress enough how delicious these desserts were, so save room, you will thank me later! Finally, the customer service was a "10". Overall, I have only great feedback for Local Boy Sushi! In every way, from food to service to cleanliness, they score a solid "10"!"
