Reno Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics

"My self and my family were all patients of Reno Smiles for years and had a good experience in previous years. Now there is new staff and unfortunately the place has gone down hill. My husband was in need of a root canel and crown. While he was having work done he said it was the most painful, roughest experience he has ever had. They hardly numbed him before the work and he could feel everything, they knew and didn't care. The temp fell off the next day, he was told to use cap it. A month later they had him back for the permanent. It fell off three months later.. They don't act very professional, with more focus on gossiping, joking and talking to each other. Our insurance covered part and we had to pay around 1800 out of pocket for this horrible experience. My husband refuses to go back so we had to find a new dentist. It cost us around 850 for the other dentist to fix the previous work from Reno Smiles."

"Good luck finding a appointment in a appropriate timeframe for anything. They do not value their patient's time as they will close their office without notifying patients of that day. Then wait for that patient to call back to make a new appointment only to have it pushed back 2 months. Utterly miserable."

"My mother went to this dentist to replace a crown and I am so upset with what she told me and how they treated her. First, the dentist sounds like the crazy dentist from Little Shop of Horrors. He was playing heavy metal music while drilling on her tooth! How unprofessional! After about 8 or more visits back because the crown kept getting infected and not staying in place, she finally went to someone else to get a second opinion. Turns out they fractured her tooth while replacing the crown and she ended up having to get the tooth pulled. Just because they take your insurance, I would think twice about this place. Not only that, but when her new dentist asked for her chart there was NO record of all the visits back and the continuing problem that was happening with her tooth. Shame on this place. I will never refer anyone here and will go out of my way to warn others to steer clear. If you just need a cleaning then maybe, but any major dental work I would go elsewhere. Trying to save money costs you more in the long run."
