"The employee, Aleva, literally walked away with my cash of a 100 for a 53 purchase saying I don’t have any change. No smile - No eye contact - No personality - she then stood in a doorway on her phone just leaving me standing at the cash register."

"Worst dollar tree in town. Go to any other one or better yet a better store. Customer service is lacking and goods are overpriced for quantity and quality."

"Update: Between Walmart and Amazon they offer much better deals and quality crafts for homeschool parents than the dollar tree. I will be recommending them and shopping with them from now on. I ended up spending less comparatively at Walmart than at the dollar tree because at the dollar tree you have to purchase each individual thing and it adds up. It’s way better to go to Walmart or Amazon/ hobby lobby et cetera and you won’t have to deal with the headache of terrible customer service. Or being yelled out for wanting to check out when it’s your turn. You will get better quality goods. And they have self check out. **************** I went to the dollar store to pick up homeschool supplies for my two preschoolers who were in tow. I’m waiting in the usual lines about 3-4 people are ahead of me getting serviced if not a little more. After waiting for several people to be serviced, It’s my turn and the lady abruptly tells me to unload my stuff and then leaves the cash register unattended with a line of me and another lady. After waiting for her to come back on top of waiting for the customers she has the audacity to ask if she can take the other lady first because she has less stuff than me? When I ask her if she can please scan my things because I had been waiting she cops an attitude. I told her that was disrespectful to me as a customer to which she starts yelling at me that I am the one who is disrespectful and that is just being courteous (so her logic is be courteous to a white woman who hadn’t waited as long as I had and be a jerk to me? I guess that makes sense to her) — that was totally disrespectful especially that I had a baby and toddler with me as well and spend hundreds of dollars there. I tell her I don’t want to fight. She continues to yell so I walk out. I come back in to her badmouthing me to the other customers and talk to a man who identified himself as a manager. I believe in actuality he may have been an assistant. I let him know the situation. He’s apologetic and when I ask how she would be disciplined he says that they would write her up and can see the footage and they were having a team meeting. He was extremely kind to me after a minute and helped me out to my car with the groceries and seemed apologetic. (He was also checking out my groceries) All I know is I bought a house here in this area and I live 5 minutes from the dollar tree. If I don’t feel comfortable going there because of the lack of customer service and I would rather now see my other options for homeschool supplies like hobby lobby or Walmart that’s definitely a red flag. If this is not really dealt with that means management there condones that behavior of mistreating a customer to that extent. Not even a customer but a person who should be valued instead of treated as less than. Another thing is that woman who works there and was badmouthing me and calling me names has no idea who I am or who she was talking to. I own a nonprofit and have used my own money to purchase hygeine products for up to 300 homeless people, last Christmas bought 300 jackets for children in poverty and am offering a scholarship opportunity to victims of human trafficking in the Las Vegas area who are a part of the Purchased: Not for Sale program. Not I but by the grace of God I am able to do these things To say that I am a bad person because I wanted to take my turn in line is arrogant and ridiculous. That’s how the world works. There are lines and everyone has to wait in them. I waited my turn patiently and was yelled at because she wanted to take someone else? All I know is I am a valuable customer who will live in that area longer than that lady works there since I purchased a home close by. I hope that the management there truly follows through and rectifies this because that was not appropriate to be treated in that manner."

"Incompetent Employees! It's ten minutes before they open and they turn me away at the door only to ring up two customers right in front of me. If they can make an exception for those 2 people, why not make an exception for me? Will not be coming back to this place. If it's not open then why even have the doors unlocked?"
