"Terrible pediatric services to the point their office shouldn't even be considered pediatric. Went in for my son's concerning symptoms only to be dismissed and didn't have any questions answered. An Xray and bloodwork were ordered and found out they don't even have xray equipment on property. Was told, "Oh, you'll have to go to Children's or your pediatrician for this." WHY, as a parent with a small child, am I being forced to make yet another appointment at another location for this order? Then, we decided to try a blood draw at the office. The nurses were rude, didn't know how to deal with a small child, were rough, and blew his vein. When I asked them to redraw, they told me they don't have small enough needles for a child his age, so we'll have to go to a different lab----yet another appt. to be made. But also, WHY doesn't this location have the correct needles? Take your child elsewhere if they need care. Would not recommend this place."

"MNGI did nothing for us when we repeatedly told them there was something wrong with our son and his digestion. He wasn't gaining weight. He was in pain. I had to push hard for any kind of help or recommendation. Often, they would take long periods of time to respond. A special needs child needs extra care. They are not equipped to handle kids with special needs. We ended up switching to Gillette/U of M for answers and help. It's the best decision we've made for our son. They looked at his case holistically."

"We started with MNGI due to GI concerns for my son who has Down syndrome. We started out seeing Dr Arumagan and I was NOT impressed. I would not recommend him. However, Dr Kennedy was the provider who did the procedure at Children’s Mpls and she was amazing! We now see her for all of my sons GI concerns and we have no complaints. Very thorough and will explains things so I can understand."

"i have bought 2 of my kids there (at age 3 and 2), and both experiences were terrible. sadly, there's nothing special about this "specialist" clinic, esp. for kids. not sure why I went back with my 2nd kid—guess i didn't k ow where else to go and hoped for better. be warned: they do not even pay attention to or examine your child. and they may send you elsewhere for tests/procedures (after I refused to put my 3yo on prescription acid-blockers they sent us to Children's. FYI, Children's did not seem to have a good opinion of this clinic either, esp as it took multiple tries and calls for MN Gastro to get paperwork over). the highlight of both kids' appts? tell me both kids need a prescription acid-blocker (costing $155/month for generic "kids" Prilosec per kid), then charge me nearly $400 for a VIRTUAL visit. I mean, my regular doc could have told me that for not even 1/2 the cost. and it didn't even help."

"Each question I had the doctor responded with, "I'm the specialist, I know more" diagnosed my daughter with something but never explained to me what it was. When I looked up what it was, it made no sense at all! The issues my daughter was having was completely different than what the diagnosis was, even her pediatrician said no way and the "I know more specialist" was wrong. I left the appointment very frustrated with the lack of listening care on their part. Oh and the scheduling crew, one female, is so rude on the phones she actually made me cry. 10/10 would not recommend MNGI at all."
