"The office space was cute—a little too quiet that made it awkward to be in, but still was well decorated. I had my intake appointment where I spilled my guts to the therapist, Megan Creasy, and I planned my next appointments. A week later, I got a vague email about how Megan has a conflict of interest and she couldn’t see me anymore. I asked about the conflict of interest, I even went up the chain to her supervisor, and I got nothing, absolutely zero information. As an anxious person, my mind hasn’t shut off about what this mysterious conflict of interest could be, and I am left feeling too insecure to go elsewhere. I did ask a for follow up about what code of ethics they follow and to cite the rule for situations where therapists must not tell a person any sort of details about conflicts of interest. I got more vague information, pointing me to their entire statute and code therapists must abide by instead of the specific duty they are allegedly following. I work in a field where conflicts of interest are common. I would never form a relationship with a client, and then leave them without any answers at all. This lack of transparency from Megan and her supervisor has left a super bad taste in my mouth for both this office and therapy in general. It’s not client centered."
