Summit Ridge Apartments

"The apartments themselves are nice and quiet, but heed my warning when i say they nickel and dime you on literally everything. When we toured the apartment I had asked the lady if we would be charged for maintenance, and she said as long as we didn’t cause whatever we call about, it’s free. totally reasonable, right? Wrong. Every single time we have called maintenance for something we did not cause, such as our garage door not opening, or the cabinets falling off the wall, they have blamed us for the problem and made us pay for the labor. Absolutely ridiculous to have to pay $100 for them to put a few more screws into a wall, and check on some stuff in the garage, but they actually not only charge you for the maintenance people’s trip to your apartment, they also charge you for their trip to Menards to get the supplies. I am not even joking. If they don’t have the supplies for your request, YOU have to pay for their time it took to go there and get it. When i tried to fight this, they pointed me to the lease agreement, which states nothing about having to pay for the labor cost of maintenance on every single trip, regardless if it is your fault or not. It is such a shame that such a nice place takes advantage of the people that rent from it. We love living here. We were just told there would be free maintenance, and that was a blatant lie."

"I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT DUE TO THE LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY FROM THEM! Every time I enter the building it smells HORRIBLE, it's disgusting dog poop is everywhere you go, nobody picks it up and they don't even bother to comment, the snow is never shovelled, THERE EMPLOYEES ARE HORRIBLE, they are RUDE, they are DISRESPECTFUL, and would do anything ANYTHING TO GET TO YOU TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT WASNT YOUR FAULT! They like to blame their customers when clearly it's their fault. They can't even control there commercial sign which broke in half blew into our window, scratched our windows woke my kids up! Took them 6th months to fix that sign! It's very unsafe there! It's so noisy and smells putrid!"

"It’s a horrible building, every time I enter the building it smells HORRIBLE!! in the summer there is pet poop everywhere outside and in the winter no one shovels snow and it’s VERY HARD to walk and go inside,, staff is rude and disrespectful,, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!!!"

"These are the worst apartments I’ve ever lived in. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND living there or reting from the Prairie Property company AT ALL. They are thieves because they steal your deposit and make you pay MORE for anything that was broken before living in the apartment and if you show them proof that it was broken before moving they say “ well it’s not our problem, I don’t see it written in the sheets” that is what this thief Susan said. We asked them ahead of time to put all these things in those sheets and they did not. We were too busy to look after these things and now they made us pay for all the things we did not do. I am 100% sure that they will not fix these things and will make the next victim pay for it all again and put the money in their pockets. The whole team is very rude they don’t talk to you, they argue all the time like they want to fight you. One time, we were giving them the check for the rent and wanted to ask a question to one of the girls sitting at her desk and she said “don’t come in. There is the box just put your check in there,” they are always rude and crabby, and have uneventful voice tones.They also have poor maintenance service. We called them to fix our shower head, they stopped the leak and just left it broken! We couldn’t take a shower in that bathroom. Along with that, this building we were living at is pet friendly and it smells horrible the whole time they clean their hallways every couple months. Dog poop is everywhere no one picks them up. Also, the building doors are always broken and people steal our orders all the time I stopped buying things from the online because of them. This is why I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY."

"Poor water pressure for showering. Seems all the city trash blows into the front of the apartments. Families with kids should be on one end of the building and elderly on the other. The walls are extremely thin. Thankfully for me I was just visiting my friend has lived there for 2-3years. All night that I spent. Boom, bang, loud talking, sometimes. screaming. Animals are allowed. Puppy crying from someone's apartment all night. If this were a motel..I would have demanded my money back!"
