M Health Fairview Pediatric Specialty Clinic - Discovery

"If I could give zero stars, I would. Scheduled a 2pm appointment and showed up at 1:30pm to be told we were late. No communication of appointment change, but what is new about M Health Fairview. The doctor tried telling us that the technician went home at 1pm because they didn't think we were coming at they "start at 6am." OH BOY, 7 hour day must be rough. We needed an infant sweat test for cystic fibrosis, but the doctor offered to still see us but the test was off the table. Not going to pay extra money for nothing when M Health Fairview is the poorest run hospital unit I have dealt with. Won't be surprised if we receive a bill for not even being seen or tested. Avoid M Health Fairview unless you enjoy paying extremely high bills and dealing with incompetent people. Patients before profit is not a known statement to this hospital unit."

"Brought in my 18 month old with clear symptoms/gut issues and was basically told “he’s growing, so he’s fine.” I feel like we know more and can do better than that. The standard of “failure to thrive” of being the only symptom worth looking at in a toddler is incredibly outdated. Wasn’t even going to argue with Dr. Downs because it was pretty clear off the bat that she didn’t think anything was going on. Pretty sure if she had consistent diarrhea, she might seek a diagnosis out for herself though."

"Split billing warning!!! Do NOT go here if you don't need a hospital. If you’re going for an office visit go elsewhere. Took my son for a mole check and was billed DOUBLE what I would have at a normal clinic. One charge for the office visit and another $300 for "use of the hospital room"! I didn't realize across the street from the hospital is still the hospital. This was probably in small print somewhere, but not at all communicated effectively to me and as a former clinic manager and biller I pay attention. Doctors awesome, but who can afford this?! After contracted rates from UHC I owe $415 for a 15 min visit (5 min with each person I encountered). No procedures, no tests, no labs, no meds, no Rx, nothing but a quick scope and everything is fine."

"Took my daughter innocently in for routine allergy testing with Dr. Hiba Bashir. Billed 16,000 for a 25 minute without any warning and to be told that she needed to take a Zyrtec and use pillow covers. Files an appeal to be told that charges were appropriate because it was attached to a hospital. Doctor was rude in her manner as well! I have never felt that healthcare had become so lacking in integrity!!! The charges felt criminal."

"I cannot give this clinic a high enough score with 5 stars. They have the best cystic fibrosis clinic ever! All of the staff from the moment that you schedule an appointment to a follow up appointment is amazing. I believe they provide the best specialty care that every child deserves. I'm so thankful that my child goes here!!"
