"I originally liked the services I got there. Then something changed. Mimi would press too hard during sanding to the point I flinched and would pull my hand back. It was the feeling of a burn for a couple of seconds. If you get manicures or fills you know what I'm talking about. I know that can occasionally happen, but it became to be several times during 1 fill. Never an apology or even acknowledgement. But the biggest problem was I ended up losing both big toe nails due to a fungus. It started with a cut or something the other girl did, it bled and she treated it with some chemical, again no apology and certainly no discount. I did go to the doctor to ask why my toenails changed color and coming off. He said based on the photo I have of the blood and treatment, it was most likely it was dirty tools for the pedicure. I didn't go back to show her what the salon caused because they'd just deny any culpability, so that was pointless. But there was never any other possibility of a different salon causing it, I hadn't gone anywhere else since Star opened. Now, I wouldn't go there if it was free. They damaged my 2 big toenails and it will probably be another year before they grow back. So unfortunately, the salon closest to me is no longer an option. There are too many salons in the area to settle for unsanitary procedures. Also, we're made to wash our hands before any manicure, which is fine. But but they use the same pair of disposable gloves for every customer. They should use clean gloves for each customer, but they don't. I've seen them go from 1 pedicure to the next without changing their gloves I'd post my pics, but i dont seem to have the option. Also, something that most wouldn't care about, but they push hard for us to use cash. Then, they don't process it in the computer. The one girl said " that way we don't have to pay credit card fees OR TAXES"."

"Freaking amazing service. Such a relaxing and super clean atmosphere. I've been going to the same place for 20 years. That person takes care of me to a certain point, but she also has had her share of changes, plus her 2 coworkers do not support her. Even the way my own nail lady has been doing my nails....all WRONG. I am extremely impressed and grateful! My bff whom I trust highly, recommended Mimi and I was able to bring a friend with scheduled appointments. On top of all this awesomeness, it didn't even take an hour. My place, I am usually there for 2 hours plus. And always wait. Even with my scheduled appointments. . I may have found a new place to trust. Thanks Mimi and crew!!!!"
