"If you are going just to hike on foot, then i wouldn’t recommend. There is only one trail thats short and narrow that leads to the river, also was a lot of glass and small pebbles in the middle of the trail so if you are taking a dog with you i definitely recommend getting boots for your pup. If you do have a dog with you while hiking it MUST stay on a leash, if it does have good recall then it can stay close by on the trail which is what i ended up doing with my dog. I do not recommend any dogs/humans swimming in the water because it was not shallow at all and looked very dirty and deep. If you are looking to go fishing, then there is a couple good spots for that by the river. Overall, the view from the picnic area at sunset was pretty but other than that theres not much to see."

"This is a really pretty recreation area right on Salt River. There are beautiful views of Superstition Mountain. There are pavilions, picnic tables and restrooms available. There are a lot of trees with thick tangles of branches that the birds love. We enjoyed our visit to the park."

"Such a calm, beautiful place to paddle, play, fish, or just sit. Love the trees that provide some shade and little amenities like restrooms and grills. Parking is very limited, so be sure to arrive early or just prepare to be patient and wait for someone to leave. Bing sunscreen, bug spray, and lots of water."

"Fantastic view. Calm water. Easy for beginning kayaking. Saw some wild steers/cows on shoreline. A few vultures feeding on a carcass. A turtle swimming & a duck with it's ducklings."
