"Wonderful Boondocking desert area. Camped in Palm Canyon Rd. Before the actual Refuge. Large open spaces off a dirt road with beautiful views of the Kofa Mountains. Plenty of room for all types of campers. Slow going on some spots on the road. At the end of the Rd is a parking area and a Palm Canyon hiking trail. Short trail but rocky and a bit steep. California palms grow in the canyon. The sun sets are amazing. One of our favorite spots!"

"Stayed here for 2 weeks during the big quartzite RV tent expo what an amazingly beautiful and wonderful place to camp. The infinite beauty of the desert is truly unreal. The road going in is rough and washboard just take it easy when I say it's worth it it's really worth it."

"We made up to the top of the main canyon and to three very-hard-to-get-to palm trees up a steep side canyon on the right (south). It’s more than just a rock scramble. It’s more of a free climb putting skills to test. Also saw two Rams near the entrance to the main canyon. Great time!"

"The beauty of the desert never seems to end. Awesome short hike. Only a handful of palms scattered up the canyon. Stunning views. Dry camping everywhere. Gets HOT."
