"Design - This 5* rating is based upon the unwavering work of my designer Scott Powers and first impression specialist Amber Boersma. They are two of the reasons l'm glad I chose Shasta Pools over other pool builders. Pre-construction - This phase is not rated. You just wait while some experts review the final plan at the main office. Construction - This phase consists of layout, fencing & excavation, steel & plumbing, electrical, structure & surface (aka shotcrete), hardscape & decking, waterline tile, clean-up, interior finish (aka pebbletec), and start-up. Layout: This area is rated a 5 based upon the work of Conner. His measurements were accurate & precise. Fencing and excavation: This area is rated 5* based upon the driver of the digging equipment Tom. Absolutely impressed with this man's hole digging ability! Steel & Plumbing: This area is rated 4* based upon the the steel not being done right the first time and they had to fix it. They did not (initially) install the sky bars which are used in key locking the concrete. Electrical: This area is rated 5* based upon the quality of work performed by the electrician Michael. Structure & surface: This area is rated 3 1/2 * based upon the Baja shelf measuring 3 inches shorter than build plan. {This had to be fixed) Hardscape & decking: This area is rated 3 1/2 * due to two mistakes made with part of the decking. (Both errors were fixed) Waterline tile: This area is rated 4* based upon one of the tiles breaking by another crew from accidentally bumping it. It would not have broke so easily if it was put on with proper amount of tile putty behind it. Clean up: This area is rated 4* based upon the quality of work preformed by the man who rebuilt my block wall (with attached gate). This was knocked down for the excavator to get in my backyard. Interior Finish: This area is rated 5*'s. This crew's expertise in how to finish a pool was evident with the technique they used to do it and the end result. I chose PebbleEssence and I'm very pleased with the look and feel of it inside the pool. Start-up: This area is rated 4* for the following reason. My pool interior finish was done on Monday, no one came on Tuesday (to acid wash). Wednesday an individual showed up (unannounced), acid washed the pool and started filling it with water. Two hours later someone else showed up to start-up the equipment. This obviously could not be done as the pool was barely starting to fill. They did however install the salt chlorinator and the water quality unit. They returned on Friday to start up the pool equipment. Thank you Craig! My biggest complaint in the entire process was the communication during project coordination phase. Specifically, there were way too many instances when I was informed a crew was coming and the crew did not show up and just as many times I was not informed anyone was coming and there were workers in my backyard unannounced. This might not matter to someone who's not at home during the day but, as a retired homeowner with many windows to the backyard, it was at times a privacy issue for me. In addition to several special people named above, I would also like to thank Michelle Hessenflow for her personable customer service! Shasta has some exceptional employees and their time saving water chemistry and filtering equipment are two more reasons for rating my new pool build by Shasta Pools an overall five out of five."

"From start to finish our experience was wonderful. Dean, listened to our wants and needs and designed a pool to meet our desires. We lived out of state during the build and we received up-dates and pictures regularly. Vina, the project coordinator was in constant contact with us during the build. Shasta gave us a beautiful pool that will bring many happy memories, for years to come."

"My family made a major investment. We decided to use Shasta to transform our entire back yard from a dirt lot into an oasis to enjoy and build memories in! Our experience was not ALL good! I will say because of Candy Protz and her service team, we were able to feel good about the process. She definitely went to bat for us and always did everything within her power to remedy a situation and make sure we were happy. Even after our closing, Candy would go out of her way to ensure we were happy with the work and go out of her way to fix issues even after the fact. We had a chance to enjoy our pool for a couple of celebrations before it got too cold. But we do look forward to using it when it warms back up! "Shasta Pools and Spa was the right choice for me! I’ve been dreaming about my pool for several years and when the time came for me to build, I chose Shasta. My salesperson, Jamie was friendly, knowledgeable and did not try to pressure me to upgrade anything. She listened to what I wanted and helped design my dream pool. My customer service representative, Candy, was an absolute saint! She informed me of expectations all along the way. When I had a question or concern, she was available. Even when I thought I was going to freak out about something, she knew exactly what to do to reassure me! Troy was the best project manager too. He went above and beyond his duties to make sure I was satisfied with every step. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. Cindy, came out twice to teach me how to operate my pump and filter system and I have her number saves just in case! Every contractor was professional, respectful of my privacy and was polite enough to allow me to take photographs and answer my questions.
