"This guy will get you the RESULTS you are looking for!!! Tom Horne was a godsend to me when I needed it most. Thank you, Lord! I am a state employee that was wrongfully terminated. My discharge was based on nothing but pure retaliation. State employees have less rights then normal folks. Overall, I had hired three attorneys that ended up screwing up my case royally. I followed all the rules regarding my termination. I filed with the EEOC, received right to sue the State from Washington D.C. that agreed there was an error in my termination. My first attorney buckled upon the first phone call conversation with the Attorney General’s office. He changed the direction of my case that I did not want to go and without permission and after he did and was called on it, he immediately wanted off the case. The second attorney was hired. She completely abandoned my case and did nothing which lead me to the third attorney (a well-known firm). I felt confident after the meeting that they could accomplish the goal of getting my case back on track and winning. The senior attorney (owner) stated he would oversee the case but wanted to have a junior attorney be on it as well to learn. Big mistake, he actually handed off the case to Junior that ended up screwing up my case even more. They did not listen to my request to be present during dispositions and lack of communication on keeping me posted and timelines were missed. Because of this the AG’s office was able to be awarded a “judgment summary” against me, which means my case was won by the State without a day in court or one piece of evidence ever being seen by a jury. This lead me to Tom Horne, a former “Attorney General”. I needed an attorney that could appeal the summary judgment at the 9th District of Appeals and was not afraid to take on the Attorney General’s office. He reviewed my case and immediately took it on. He was so kind, calm, and confident during the whole process while educating me on what to expect. He was my last hope of getting my case back in court and getting my career back. I have been working in this field since I was 19 years old. This whole process has been going on since 2014. OMG, HE DID IT!!! We won the appeal and it has been ordered back to Federal Court for trial. As of right now, this is where I am in the process. This was a MAJOR victory that I could not let go without showing appreciation and a HUGE shout out of “THANK YOU!” My hope of justice has been restored to this point. Once I win in Federal Court, and I will. I will be posting another review to provide follow-up with my case and the outcome. If you are feeling all hope is lost with your case then you need to speak to Tom. Pointed out spelling errors in documents Sentence structure on court documents with poor grammar Replaced by three other office lawyers to write up documents Accepted my review of documents and then changed contents to court Blamed court for not upholding the legal claims vs. contents of ownership Accepted the opposing lawyer contents with nominal challenges Cost me a garnishment with no defense due to slander Poor response on emails and I had to contact her boss at least 5 times Waited until last minute to submit documents to courts Missed a court document submission and had to be reminded Vocal arguments to court with limited speaking skills for a defense Not understanding banking or business protocols and provided poor advice Additional payments to opponent with no recovery as requested Accepted the opposition position on legal payment with nominal counter Allowed the opposition to slander me without any defense of my position Never had a clear strategy or attention to detail to counter the opposition Overall, the legal representation I would rate as D- in performance and execution. The experience of this lawyer against more senior lawyers of opposition was not to the caliber needed, nor gained the courts confidence both in oral and written arguments. Over the period engaged with this lawyer attempted to be polite, but had several emails with her supervisor but no change in performance or results. It is with sincere regret to provide a one star rating, but for services rendered the lawyer did not meet my requirements for legal representation."
