"For nearly two years, our local cat hospital has been a place of trust and exceptional care for our pets. Regrettably, a recent visit did not meet the standard we’ve come to expect, largely due to a communication mishap and the conduct of a substitute veterinarian. The confusion began with an unexpected question about our cat’s medication, specifically Gabapentin, which we were surprised to learn was supposed to have been administered prior to our appointment. This was the first we had heard of such a requirement, leading to a bewildering start to our visit. While the staff, including the intern who mentioned the medication, conducted themselves professionally, the same could not be said for the visiting veterinarian. Our discomfort was compounded when the fill-in veterinarian, presumably believing she was out of earshot, made comments that suggested she thought we were neglecting our pet. These remarks were overheard by my spouse, creating a deeply unsettling atmosphere. It was disheartening to realize that instead of addressing the issue directly with us, the veterinarian chose to make assumptions and express these behind our backs. Such behavior not only felt unprofessional but also detracted from the collaborative and understanding environment we had always valued at the hospital. The primary issue here was not the misunderstanding itself but how it was handled by the substitute veterinarian. The lack of direct communication and the decision to voice concerns without all the facts, and in a manner not intended for us to hear, left us feeling unfairly judged and questioned our pet’s care under this individual’s oversight. We believe in the importance of clear, compassionate communication in veterinary care, especially when it involves addressing concerns or potential oversights. The rest of the hospital staff has always exemplified this, making our recent experience all the more disappointing. We hope this feedback serves as a constructive reminder of the impact that communication and professionalism can have on patient trust and satisfaction. Despite this incident, we look forward to future visits, trusting that the hospital will continue to uphold the high standards of care and respect that have defined our experiences thus far."

"I have 5 cats and was very excited when I found a cat-only clinic when I moved to Tucson. I have been seen multiple times over the last few months for wellness checks, routine checks for my elderly cat, and urgent visits for a broken tooth and a very sick kitty. I cannot express how happy I am for the excellent treatment my cats have received. Dr Johnston is extremely knowledgeable about cat specific conditions that were never mentioned by previous vets. The entire staff is very helpful with all of my cats’ needs and throughout the course of follow up treatments. Everyone on staff is wonderful, I’ve always left feeling as if they cared about my cats’ well being. I definitely recommend this clinic to anyone with a cat."

"I had a great experience here! They were very quick to take me back to the exam room and to come talk to me, and the vet herself, Dr. Reardon, was very quick and attentive! They were also overall just great with my cat, who can be a real little bundle of anxiety.They listened well to my concerns, gave me lots of recommendations, and we're super flexible about the pricing and the treatment. I would really recommend going here if you have cats, they definitely know what they're doing and made my little guy feel as at ease as he could."

"***EDIT TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW*** After several more visits to this clinic, I decided to edit my original review to a much more positive experience. Everyone has been very professional and have shown it through the interactions with their staff. They have been especially helpful when it comes to sending over medical records especially when dealing with insurance. I definitely appreciate the timeliness of their responses as well when needed.
