"I have to caveat this review as my boyfriend was the one who worked directly with the surgical vet specialty surgery center, but they went above and beyond explaining everything to my boyfriend about our dogs, torn Crusius injury needing surgery. The vet was very responsible and wanted to make sure we followed up with a neurologist for our golden retriever Roman prior to the surgery to make sure there was nothing else wrong with him, which is something, very thorough to do. Our dog Roman is doing phenomenal and was walking on the third day the vet specialty center went ahead and gave my boyfriend a follow-up phone call and answered all his questions related to the surgery and what was going on with our dog I am so thankful he is able to walk again!"

"My sweet, little, 4.5 lb Yorkie had a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Her spleen, left kidney, and small intestines were up in her lung cavity. She had to have surgery and this would be a major surgery. I was so frightened for her, especially being so little. The nursing staff, techs, and doctors were so compassionate and explained everything in enough detail to put my mind at ease, knowing they knew what they were doing. They took their time with us too which was unexpected and comforting. On the day of her surgery they called me when they were prepping her, the tech called me as soon as she was out of surgery, and then the doctor called me at the end of the day. Each phone call left me more and more at ease. The following day I picked her up. The nurse gave me medicine for her and made sure I knew exactly how to care for her before I left. They even called the following day to check up on us. We have a two week follow up and I am certain my little pup will heal perfectly. While I hope I never have to go back to them, I most definitely recommend them and WILL definitely use them again if I ever have veterinary surgical needs. Fingers crossed I never need them again."

"I have to say for starters, they’re wonderful and exceptionally detailed. The run up to surgery entailed a bit of communication and scheduling. They’re a Trupanion facility which was awesome! The care for my dog was warm and personal. I can’t give them a higher recommendation! Surgery went well and we’re home!"

"I recently took my dog, Mojo, to Saguaro Veterinary Surgery to address a large mass found on his kidney. Ultimately, they had to remove the mass, plus his entire kidney & spleen. The initial consultation eased all of my concerns about putting Mojo through a serious surgery. It was very low pressure & matter-of-fact. We discussed the reason that surgery was the recommendation, along with all of the possible risks. When it came to making a decision, there was no up-selling or pressure to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with or couldn’t afford. I saw a few reviews discussing high price points, and for this particular surgery, the price was similar to other surgeons I spoke with in the area. However, in hindsight, I would have taken him here even if it was more expensive, due to the incredible care Mojo received. The day of the surgery I was made aware when the surgery began, and then again when it was over to let me know he was coming out of anesthesia as expected. I then heard from Dr. McCally that night with more in-depth details regarding the outcome of the surgery. When I picked him up, I received detailed follow-up care instructions, and even had help from their staff to get him into the car (he HATES the car). I also received another phone call to see how he was doing the day after he came home. I can’t express enough thanks for the wonderful & empathetic care given to us not only by Dr. McCally but the entire staff. I would recommend them to anybody who is looking for high-quality care plus great communication when seeking help for their beloved pet."
