"It's a good school and they're more advanced than at other schools, my two girls are really happy with the type of education they receive there at Ben Franklin. The teacher's really care for the education of each individual student and the staff is very helpful, trustworthy, and thoughtful. We cannot thank them enough for their attention and dedication towards our children:)"
"This school is a roller coaster. A majority of the school is judgy mormons, which is not necessarily a bad thing, more of an annoying thing if you aren't mormon. So parents notice this and result to sending there kid to clean up their act and become a good student. Sadly, this is not the first time this has been thought of, and this results in all of the kids hanging out together collectively making each other worse. The work is unreasonably large and hard. The teachers will give 30-60 minutes of homework, which worked in grade school, not high school because you end up with 4-7 hours of homework (Depending on your electives) The Overall experience has made me want to go to another school. This school is a good school, bad system. Teachers are easy to give detentions, but FOng is really cool."
"The school is amazing!!! The teachers really care about you and your grades. If you are worried about dress code you shouldn't be because it is mostly a Mormon school, and most Mormons have dress standard that are close to the schools. So it should be no problem. I am a student there, and my first year everyone made me feel welcome."
"As a student, it was an amazing experience and I might consider doing it again. It is a highly classical and socratic school, allowing the students who go there to engage in rigorous courses and have fun in doing so. The school is probably one of the smallest high schools I've been to with a student population of under 600 in 2016, so students can socialize with just about the entire school given a few years. The socratic element allows students to develop both a love of learning as well as their own knowledge of what is good. All of the classes are honors and after going there I am a firm believer that anyone can do well in such an environment. The teachers believe that students can find a good balance of time to do massive amounts of homework and projects and as such I have developed some grey hair so if constant stress in exchange for one of the best educations seems too difficult, think hard and make a decision that you will do well there and do all of the homework; otherwise, find another school. I had probably between 6-8 hours of homework a night with the classes I was taking so managing time is essential. If you are biased in any way towards Christians for whatever reason, I suggest not going. For some reason, students and parents passionately hate the school for its population and by the fact that the teachers encourage students to think heavily as to whether there is a god (or gods) so that they are gaining the most from their education. The teachers do not teach religion, but as it is a classical education focused on history, religion is unsurprisingly mentioned quite a bit."
"This school is great If you are looking for a balance between rigorous classes and a fun (censored) social life! The teachers try to instill principles of learning into their students. They teach students how to think for themselves rather then learning a particular test. The sports are generally good compared to the size of the school, and the size of the classes allows students to gain relationships with their peers as well as their teachers. I am a student at this school, and appreciate the education I learned as I have been applying to colleges."
