"I started training at Larios Karate Club when I was five years old. Sensei Larios taught me discipline, self defense and respect. I’m 34 now and one of Sensei Larios black belts. Being in law enforcement can’t go as much I would like to go. After 29 years I still go train with sensei Larios. Training with sensei has giving me confidence to do my job and go ihome at the end of my shift. I highly recommend Larios karate for kids and adults you will definitely get in shape and learn how to defend yourself."

"Sensei Larios, developed a law enforcement specific curriculum around my schedule. Private lessons were the way to go for me, and trust me you will see the results immediately. Sensei Larios had a one on one conversation with me to see what I wanted out of the classes. I am humbled and grateful for Sensei Larios. No matter the skill level Sensei treats you right and will work with you to make you the best you! If your looking for a change, a way to be a better you please visit and see for yourself. 10/10 highly recommended."

"Sensei Larios has taught me different values, such as how to be stronger not only physically, but mentally. He has shown me different levels of strength and what I can strive for. Not only is he the best in Yuma, but he’s the best overall. He’s been teaching for almost 30 years now and it shows when he’s known internationally. After going to different places in Yuma, I can tell you that no one trains as proficiently as he does. If you want to train to be the best, it takes a lot and he’s there to train you for it. If you want to be someone full of confidence and admiration due to your strengths rather than you weaknesses, come here. I was always someone so weak and always felt as this was the life for me. When I came here, he showed me that I don’t always have to be weak. Whether we stay weak or try to change that, is what determines us as an individual. If you want to be a lean mean killing machine, join Larios Karate. I know some people may be like “Oh well karate is unrealistic and doesn’t work”, Sensei Larios knows this as well and it is why he implements his training explicitly for self-defense with a bias towards karate. What is done here isn’t some katas, which is a form of karate that is known to be for show, but it is focused on working on technique that is viable in real life situations. If you want to learn how to defend yourself to the best ability, come here. Don’t listen to the other poor reviews as they didn’t have what it takes to go through the pain and misery to grow as a human being. If you want to be strong and you’re weak, or feel weak, prove it by trying to come here. Coming here while continuing to go is what determines whether or not you’ll grow and become stronger. What makes a person strong isn’t them being naturally strong all the time, it’s taking a stand and saying “I don’t want to be weak anymore!” If you don’t want to be weak anymore, prove it and fight through the pain. Being with Sensei Larios teaches you many things and one main component is to never be a quitter. Everyone can join and everyone has the same opportunity as one another. Take it from me, as I’ve been going here and as well train at other places. There’s no where nearby that is as good of a life changing place. So start here if you want to change your life as he changed mine. Push past your limits! You shouldn’t live like a pig, rolling around in your filth doing nothing, when instead we can be doing something and be the kings and queens in our own castles that we’re all destined to be!"

"This school not only will help you get in shape with cardio, but will teach and train you in pressure points, real life scenarios if someone grabs you, you end up grappling and how to build a skill set of self defense. The focus of the school is using pressure points that do not rely on strength, but learning the techniques. A pressure point can take down the strongest and mightiest of opponents. The school is open to all levels of expertise: classes for children, as well as an adult class for the experienced, the brand new, men, woman and teenagers. I am grateful for the time I have studied here and continue to work for my black belt. I highly recommend everyone build their self confidence and self defense skills. This sensei cares about his students and will partner and invest in you no matter where your skill level is at."
