The United School

The United School, located at 9590 East Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale, Arizona, is a specialized secondary school for children affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). At The United School for Autism (USfA), we offer unique ABA-based programming that challenges students to reach their highest academic and social potentials. Working closely with parents and specialized staff, we determine precise goals to be achieved in both academic and social spheres.

We offer two educational tracks to ensure that every student is challenged to the highest level of their abilities. The Preparatory Track (Grades 1-8) focuses on preparing students with the knowledge and skills needed to integrate into mainstream schools upon completion. With a classroom ratio of up to 8:1, students participate in extracurricular classes, social skills development, and independent studies.

The Main Track (Grades 1-12 ) is designed for students who benefit from a 4:1 ratio and our Direct Instruction methodology and curriculum. Students receive individualized academic programming, extracurricular classes, social skills development, life skills courses, and vocational training at the high school level.

Our school van takes us on many adventures, providing students with exposure to various experiences. As Dr. Temple Grandin said, "Kids have to be exposed to different things in order to develop." At The United School, we strive to provide a well-rounded education that helps students discover their interests and talents.
