"I would definitely have to say this has been the most disappointing first time experience attending a cooking class. I was very excited about trying out a cooking class for the first time. Along with other students in the class, we were under the impression that we would each have our own station with our own personal ingredients, NOT everyone putting their hands all over the food throughout the whole class. For one, very unsanitary especially when everyone is touching other surfaces or their faces or their phones and then going and touching the food without washing their hands. There were also no stools to sit on, so you’re standing for the whole 2 hours. The instructor did not give much direction on how to do things and was not very prepared, had to keep looking at the recipe and didn’t even have the right utensils or enough ingredients for the class. You would think that for the price of the class it would at least provide you with decent supplies. Overall, very disappointed and disgusted. Would not recommened and honestly regret spending the money on this."

"On Saturday January 13, 2024 I attended Sur la tab, Italian cooking class with Chief Jenny. I’ve taken cooking classes previously, but first Italian pasta cooking for me. It was a fabulous class and the pasta dishes and salad were delicious. Chief Jenny was an excellent instructor and so patient walking us through the instructions. We made two different pasta dough recipes which were challenging but rewarding. I look forward to participating in another cooking class at Sur la tab, if it can be with Chief Jenny."

"Had such a fun time at the Pasta at Home cooking class today with chef Jenny in Scottsdale! Chef Jenny and her amazing assistants were fabulous! Chef Jenny went above and beyond teaching our class how to make TWO different pastas and TWO different sauces, plus salad with a delicious homemade dressing. I would definitely recommend Sur la Table cooking classes with Chef Jenny! Everything was superb! I can’t wait to make fresh pasta at home!"

"Hats off to Chef Oscar. My teen daughter and I had a nice experience at the cooking class for Father’s Day. The price point feels a bit high (like a decent steakhouse w/ a couple drinks only w/o drinks…), but the experience was fun and food was high quality. This isn’t an intensive cooling class. It’s not like each person gets their own setup/equipment. Each prep table is 6 people (great to socialize and make some new friends). Two boards and knives/utensils so you kinda take turns with the prep work. Chef does a nice demo and is pretty engaging with questions and banter. Actually cooking is done at the main station so things get a little tight taking turns around the cooktop, but it worked out fine. Also, some parts are fast-forwarded for time (we didn’t bake our potatoes the first time for the twice baked or freeze our ice cream). It is a 2.5 hr standing experience, so if you’re expecting to sit down to a table service dinner after, you’ll be disappointed. Also, if you’re expecting drinks, you’ll be let down as well. Just water. It is as-advertised: a cooking class. A fun one with good food."
