JAMES 410 Guns & Ammo

"I wouldn’t waste my time with this store. I went there with my friend to both buy new revolvers. The guy behind the counter didn’t know anything about the guns we were looking at. He couldn’t even answer simple questions, so I decided not to buy anything. My friend already knew what he wanted, so he bought it, along with a holster. After getting home, he didn’t like the fit on the holster and put it back in the package to return it. He called the store and he was told that ONLY the owner could approve the return. After several attempts to reach him, he finally got a hold of Gary (the owner) who refused to let him return the holster, without a good reason. I’m taking the time to write this because I’m tired of these business owners who take your money and then don’t care about you after the sale. Bad business in my opinion, since he just lost a handful of customers over a $53 holster. I’m a gunsmith and very involved in the gun industry and I will steer anyone away who is considering doing business with this shop. Your response below is a made up story. Your sales person never took the holster out of the packaging and tested it for fit. My friend is the one who told me to buy the holster or I would regret not being able to carry it when I got home. I can see that you attack all your customers who leave you a bad review. You lash out at the customer, instead of recognizing your inefficiencies as a retailer. It sounds like you're the one that has some growing up to do."

"Went in to look at guns not knowing what I wanted. A young man named John was so helpful and patient as he assisted me with finding the right gun for my needs. He was very knowledgeable and friendly! They have a nice selection and the prices are good."

Truthfully, it left a bad taste in our mouth the way we were treated. It sounds to me that you are just pissed that your rating is taking a hit(rightfully so). Lying about the way things went down is pretty unprofessional IMO. Your establishment will never have any business from me, and I will make sure to inform anyone I know who is planning on purchasing a firearm, to not give their hard earned money to you."

"I received a short tempered phone call from one of the guys regarding my background proceeding and they were going to shred my info because "it's just taking up space." I explained to him that my busy schedule fogged my brain to call them to let them know I wasn't going to do business with him. He didn't like that! He, verbatim, said "Thanks for making us stay late for nothing!" *click* LETS REWIND!! We came in a couple weeks earlier ready to drop $1,500+ on 2 pistols and 1k rounds of ammo. We were set to the side while other customers were catered to. By the time they got around to us the man said, you have 2 minutes to choose because we close at 5. When my husband asked to hold the pistol he was interested in, he said, " OK but we are closed now so maybe you should do your research then come back when you know what you want." Then made us leave because it was 5:00 on the Dot. In addition; They did our background check without having a gun selected. You folks at James 410 think I'm going to give you my business when you completely devalued us TWICE! GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS We gladly took our hard earned money to another shooting sports store"
