"I was a tenant in a property they are managing. Property was furnished. At the end of my lease, I moved all the furniture back, washed the linens, replaced the cleaning supplies I used, etc. But it didn't matter. Di Peso took a $350 cleaning fee out of my security deposit, which they don't have a right to do for normal wear and tear, let alone when a tenant goes the extra mile to make sure the property is clean. Tenants beware about renting properties managed by Di Peso unless you're ready to take your landlord to court, or if you're okay with having your money stolen. Different issue, more of a problem for landlords than tenants: When I was applying I hadn't lifted the security freeze on my credit so the credit check had to be re-run after I lifted it and I would have to pay an additional $20 or $25. This was fine with me but I was out of town, so I was hoping Di Peso would cover it to keep things moving until I was back. I had already shown I was a serious prospect with the original application fee, but Di Peso insisted that I mail them $25. At least get a credit card system. Who mails $25? If there were other properties that met my specific need, I would have dropped Di Peso's property from my consideration immediately due to the lack of professionalism/business sense. I would not consider hiring Di Peso's property management if they are going to risk vacancy over $25."
