"Avoid this complex if at all possible. What was once an amazingly friendly and helpful management team is now borderline spiteful toward its own tenants. No matter how well you maintain your apartment during your residence, they will charge you an absurd amount post move-out, including $300 for paint when you have made no damages to the interior, $250 for deep cleaning when you have never smoked in the place and spent hours mopping and cleaning everything after finishing packing. They also will do simple repairs, but will ignore you for as much as a week for harder tasks such as an AC problem. I was sleeping in over 90 degrees and still paying for the horrible experience. Management prefers to reach out to "corporate" for commonplace requests so they can act like matters are out of their hands. In summary, this apartment complex is a master of swindling tenants out of their hard-earned money while simultaneously providing minimal effort to ensure you have a good stay. If you enjoy being taken advantage of, subjected to unethical practices, and treated like a mere pawn in their financial game, this place is for you. I would advise anyone to steer clear of this place like the plague."

"In my opinion possibly the worst deceptive zero communication integrity zero empathy zero trust definitely the shadiest MGR after 5 managers since last October 2022 at Sunflower Apartments. So many complaints also I am a Veteran with chronic disability and Native American Indian Seneca Cayuga Iroquois Nation, and made payment arrangements to pay this weekend with 2 people in management with verbal & email confirmation replys, this was after discovering my credit card expired this October for rent and have had to wait for new replacement, only to find a letter ony door this morning after coming home from work that the shady untrustworthy new MGR had been assuming I wasn't going to pay after I told her what happened and I have always paid on time, she Evily and slyly filed a Court Summons and Eviction notice on me anyway. After I had already agreed to pay today and did. Absolutely evil people"

"Even 1 star is too much for this place. Lived here during 2018-2019 and it was the worst experience of me and my partners life. BED BUG INFESTED!! Unsafe grounds! Plants stolen from right outside the front door. Constant maintenance issues. Broken AC in the middle of the summer causing temps to be 90degrees inside. Management at the time were terrible liars and basically left us homeless for a couple months while they were not taking our serious apartment issues seriously. Seriously go elsewhere!!"

"Recently ended my lease here due to moving out of town, but I had an overall pleasant experience. The good: Lisa and Susan were always extremely kind, hosted fun little community things, and on Valentine’s Day everyone had a gift bag of candy on their door. It was really cute and I’ve never had any management at any apartment I ever lived at that seemed to care about their residents the way Lisa did. In my specific case, she went above and beyond for me many times. I like that the trash cans are set in ground so you don’t have to launch heavy trash over the trash bins. The laundry room runs off an app which is way more convenient than coins or a laundry card (which we previously had). My studio was renovated and came with an above range microwave and well as laminate wood floors. Free wifi; not the strongest but I never had an issue when it was working. I appreciate that the community was gated. Our maintenance man was the kindest ever! And always very quick. The bad: The neighborhood is not the nicest. I was new to Tucson and assumed being near the base it would be safe. That was incorrect, but this is obviously something that is out of managements control. I lived alone as a young woman in her 20s and there were very few times I felt sketched out, but it did happen. Wifi would go out sometimes, yes it was annoying but I’ve never had any wifi that didn’t go out occasionally. Sometimes parking gets full and it’s a bit of a walk to your apartment depending on where you’re located. I was never unable to find a spot, though. All in all, for the amount I paid in rent I felt like my apartment was a steal. It’s good for folks who have lower incomes or new renters. Maybe you could find better for a higher price but you could definitely find a lot worse also. I enjoyed my time at Sunflower."

"1st year down, renewed here another 6 months with no regrets. The manager and maintenance team are great. The maintenance has come the same day that I have submitted a request and have thoroughly completed my work order. The manager walks the grounds and addresses issues promptly. They have done many resident events that are super cute in my opinion, like tacos and breakfast appreciation parties for us. The house keeper does an amazing job to keep our laundry room clean along with gym. Residents are they ones who don’t keep up with it. My kid enjoys playing in the playground they have here. Also like that I’m one minute away from Safeway, Frys, and Walmart and aviation! Just wished they had a washer and dryer in my apartment."
