"I've attempted needed surgery on my spine for a year and my ear since Christmas. The typical visit to the ER includes being abused by the staff who express how much they hate their jobs. They are aggressive and violent. More than not decent as it usually goes but are also turning a blind eye to the behavior in their facility. One sits anywhere from six to twelve hours of sitting and dealing with the aggressive staff barbing myself and other patients regardless of their walk of life. A typical behavior is the staff are eager to bring down security on patrons and this appears to revolve around standing up and going to the restroom and/or having a drink of water. I can only emphasize the violent demeanor in this. And towards the act of speaking. In my case sitting in this position damages the spine more and causes me agony. I was punished for expressing this. In most cases scans were done. This they seem to well at. When it comes to applying treatment in most cases it was the wrong treatment which I rejected, having to fight them about it due to said aggressive behavior which I will compare to running a prison facility. The same is said of making any attempt to leave the facility. Staff will aggressively attempt to stop one from doing so. In all cases I have had to contact the insurance and report it. At some point one will be put in a room. Sometimes there is blood all over the floor. More staff will enter and more often spend their time barbing the patient. Staff often use charred words and focus on person's walk of life rather than any sort of therapy. More than once the staff suggested street drugs as cure for any illness on the table which they appear fond themselves. The other day they tried to encourage me to do LSD. I attempted to talk about this the next day and ask them to resolve this matter and was yes, greeted with aggression. I then contacted the Attorney General's office and reported the incident and was directed to additionally log a case with the drug task force of Arizona. Additionally to this I was prompted to report the matters of patient abuse and discrimination to various agencies. This is pending and legal council is also being worked out. On multiple occasions staff have claimed to me that they are "gangsters" without prompt in what appears to be a coercive motion. This has also been reported to the AG's office and is pending investigation. Any attempt to appeal said infractions is taken to the advocates. It appears their job is to cover up anything their including any illegal activities and not help the patients in any sort of manner. This again appears to be only a small number of staff but does not matter again as they are given free reign to behave however they choose. Upon interviewing various persons in the city I could not find a single person that spoke in a light manner about the facility. All invoked dread. Multiple persons stated something to the effect of "that hospital will let you die". This was also stated by patrons at the hospital and every story was about how they were being abused by the staff, sometimes which I witnessed. Citizens otherwise have stated in every instance that they will go as far to drive to another city even in the event of an emergency simply to avoid the horrible experience of the facility and it's staff and/or for fear they will incur further health issues by negligent treatment. The bothersome part of all of this is the only reason I visit is because I am seeking medical help which I to date have not received. Which should be the reason for anyone to visit a healthcare facility and the staffs reason for working at one to provide it. Yet by their own words and rantings on the internet this appears to somehow to be the core issue in itself? I continue to attempt to go to the facility having little other options out of the hope that I will simply get lucky and meet one person who just cares about other people and end up receiving medical treatment. All the while doing all I can to find other avenues against a worsening and debilitating condition."

"I decided to got to the urgent care facility, due to it being cheaper. They checked me in, brought me back into a room and then told me that I needed to go to the Emergency room. Later I was sent a bill for this. I then when to the emergency room, they ran tests and labs, and told me to follow up with a cardiologist and gave me a script. Later I found that the pharmacy didn’t get the script, the hospital would not resend the script, I even contacted the director of emergency and no communication. I have never been treat with such disregard."

"Terrible care. My granddaughter has been here for 6 hours with awful stomach pain. An ultrasound was done 3 hours ago and we are still in the waiting room!!!!! No results given nothing. The lab has been out to retake people’s blood because their blood they already took has expired and they need to redraw. This is very unprofessional and understaffed for the size of the community that needs medical attention!! I am from California and have never sat with any of my children or myself for that matter for more than 2-3 hours. Really need to get another facility for this growing community. It is unacceptable to only have one er for this entire area!!!! Do better kingman!!! Where are the officials that run and take care of this town?????"

"When I was there, there were plenty of people in the waiting area. But they still had available seats. Nothing that would warrant a 3 hour wait in the intake area. Triage was fairly quick in taking your vitals. The front staff was helpful but very sluggish if you needed additional assistance. Once in the treatment area, doctors were friendly and knowledgeable. Nursing staff was very helpful. I was taken aback by getting the advice from a Dr. to look up procedures to relieve my symptoms on u-tube. It would have been better to have been shown in person right there. There are still people out there without ready access to the internet. Over all I got the impression of a smaller town medical facility in need of expansion. Total time spent there was about 5 hours from arriving to being released."

"Obviously, zero stars is not an option. I am a 15 year undiagnosed thyroid patient, and still had my worst medical experience (in 52 years) at KRMC. I went in for hernia repair surgery. Dr. Braze is excellent! My nursing staff, however, (3rd floor on 9/27-28) disrespected Dr. Braze by disregarding most of his orders. I was kept in the same bloody bed (my blood) both days, stabbed 7 times (including 2 painful infiltrations) to get a working IV, medicated at random intervals, not allowed a shower, food, water, or exercise until 23.5 hours in, when I was about to leave. At around 9 am, on the morning of 09/28, I received a cup of ice water from the boisterous male nurse, who kept blaming me for not wanting to be there. One of the doctors gave paperwork saying specifically hot showers and mobility are important to help with painful internal trapped gas following surgery, but the staff simply didn't care. They gave several excuses why I had to wait for different aspects of my care, which were ultimately never received. The staff member, who finally achieved IV success, did give me "permission" to pace at the end of my bloody bed while I waited for labs to show up. I argued with/complained to several staff members throughout the ordeal. One of them blatantly lied, through her teeth, to my face, concerning medication intervals. I admit to raising my voice at this juncture, just before 7 am., and also admit that I apologized (to her and others) for yelling at her. My doctor came to see me (around 9:10 am on 09/28) wanting to check how my wounds were healing and if I could drink water. He saw both were fine, told me I can go home, remove the bandages, shower, and follow a liquid diet for 2 weeks. I waited another hour (for nursing staff to get my discharge papers ), before I left without any documentation. I had to threaten to leave, still with the IV in, before the boisterous male nurse finally removed it. This is as I am waiting at the elevator to leave. He even tried to get me to sign papers saying that I was leaving against medical advice, after my doctor told me I was free to go. I said no, that I had no more patience for any of it. They completed the interaction by threatening me that my doctor will not call in my prescriptions if Ieave the facility in this manner, even though it was by doctors orders. I left the hospital at this point. The doc did call in my scripts. Like I said, Dr. Braze is excellent! This hospital is ridiculously bad."
