"Dr. Gause and his staff have been amazing taking care of my mother through 3 major spine surgeries over the past 8 years as well as taking care of my wife’s spinal surgery and recovery!"

"I really am glad I found this place. Dr. Gause is very kind, attentive, thorough, and clear about treatment options and next steps. Dr. Dave, who did my EMG, was all those things, too, and also extraordinarily empathetic to my anxiety about the procedure, which I remembered from a previous experience as agony. In Dr. Dave’s hands it was literally painless. The scheduling and support staff are also great. If I could wave a magic wand, I’d grant them a front door that was easier for patients in pain and with mobility issues to open, and that was compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, but I’ll keep coming back here as long as the care that awaits me on the other side of that door is so exceptional."

"Dr. Paul Gause is without doubt the most caring surgeon I have had. I had a spinal fusion on June 28, 2023 and could not be happier with his skills or bedside manner both in his office and at the hospital. I have had back problems for a number of years and have had other surgeries which unfortunately led me to needing a fusion. I have also been in a considerable amount of pain for many years, requiring pain medication. I indicated to the PA, Jennifer Watry (also awesome) that even if I didn’t get the pain relief I hoped for from the surgery that I wanted to figure out a way to get off of all medication. That led to Jen and Dr. Gause arranging for me to meet with Dr. Allan Rowley who had actually performed my initial diagnostic injection prior to surgery. After my surgery, and with kindness and compassion, Dr. Rowley explained alternative ways to overcome pain and gave me a number of resources. They made a plan to wean me off of the medications that I had been on, and the doctors worked together on that plan. I can’t imagine having to have the personality to operate on people with confidence, then that same person has to make you feel good on clinic days (office visits) and he has to manage staff, and deal with good stuff and bad stuff and hospitals and complaints and insurance companies. I’m honestly shocked when a doctor is nice because it must be such a cluster for them these days. This entire team is exceptional and I’m honestly dumbfounded by it. This is a busy office. Expect to wait to be seen. If you are seeking to be heavily medicated past when it’s medically necessary, this is not the place to go. They are interested in making healthy patients. The reason that their clinic is busy is because they are good and sought after. I’m very grateful that a reputable doctor outside of the practice got me in to see Dr. Gause which led to meeting Jen and Dr. Rowley. This is the way that doctoring should be."

"Dr Doehring performed a double fusion and lamanectomy on me last March, 2023. It's been 6 months and I can share with you that the results were amazing, it's like night and day- I can walk normally now and I can't tell you how happy I am with the results!"

"Very welcoming and professional institute of medical practice. The staff are knowledgeable and caring and the procedures performed with this facility are exacting and precise. I don’t think anyone could want more out of there care and services than that which they provide at The Spine Institute of Arizona!!! 100% recommend a visit if you are in need of thorough care. Thank you all with whom I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with here. BTW: They handle Worker’s Compensation cases too!"
