"Never too crowded. Seems like there's always a basketball hoop available. Nice very large mature trees. Excellent playground for kids. Good place to throw a football also."

"Chaparral Park is a definite PLUS as a selling point for people that are shopping for homes in the area even though Mountain View High School is right around the corner a bit. It doesn't have bathrooms but the Sprouts Farmer's Market at Gilbert and Brown is close enough to take kids to if they have to go. I like getting snacks there to take back to the park because they have great basketball courts and if you like soccer or football, they have a greenbelt area that is huge. Plus, there is a cool playground for the smaller kids that might not be into sports."

"Like many Mesa parks, this is a small once neighborhood park that during the past park referendums was converted into a city park. For the people patronizing the park its a nice little park in a nice neighborhood. The City does a very good job keeping it clean. Like any park, the city can't do any thing about the people who don't utilize the multitude of trask cans."

"I found Chaparral Park in my recent journeys and it is quite a wonderful place. Spacious for walking with a variety of features including a playground, grills, picnic tables, benches, a basketball court, and a horseshoe game area. Also, it is a great place for dog wakers. Located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, it is an excellent place to relax. Highly recommended!"

"Medium sized well maintained but limited park. A lot of open space. The basketball courts have full height rims as well as children's height rims. Playground is next to basket ball and parking. Parking lot, on north side almost full with large number of people in park. The wide range of ages is a good sign and pleasant noise level. Didn't see any dogs but you can see houses adjacent to north side grass let their dogs go. Watch your step. Horse shoe area has picnic table next to it."
