"I want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Dr. Kellie and her staff. They are all so kind, caring, and professional. I am blessed to have such wonderful people taking care of me. If you are looking for a medical staff that is amazing, look no further. You will not be disappointed!"

"It is no secret that we live in an under served community when it comes to medical care. I found Phoenix Cancer Institute while I was in the hospital waiting to be released. They would not release me until I had a Dr willing to manage my care. Without meeting me, Phoenix Cancer Center agreed to take me as a new patient. I can’t say enough good things about Dr Kellie and her staff. They are compassionate, treat you like a person, and involve you in making your own medical decisions by providing you with all the information necessary to make good decisions. Most of their patients are facing one of the biggest challenges they have ever faced in their lives, and the staff at Phoenix Cancer Institute really gets it. I personally feel so blessed to have met them."

"On June 27, 2022 was our first meeting with Dr. Steve & Dr. Kellie. We were referred to them by the oncologist at Sunrise in Vegas as my husband Bill had been diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer which had metastasized to his brain and lung. We were devastated and so very overwhelmed. Dr. Steve explained that our first priority was the four masses in his brain. We would start with radiation treatments with Dr Willis and then move on to immunotherapy for the kidney cancer, which he explained they’ve had amazing success with. He answered all our questions thoroughly with knowledge and compassion. I said to him my husband is a carpenter, he loves working with his hands, creating beautiful things for his daughters homes, I just want him to be able to do that again. He looked at me and said quietly “a carpenter, we will get him building again”! Bill started his radiation treatments with Dr. Willis whom he really liked he was really doing good with the treatments, but as we progressed his cognitive behavior and his mobility started to diminish and we discovered Bill had more than 4 masses in his brain, there were many more. On August 5th I contacted Dr Steve and told him Bill was not doing well he had me take him to the hospital ER and he ordered a CT on his brain to see if there had been a change, which there hadn’t. So I took him home and between Dr Steve and Dr Salamatin our primary they had Bill set up at home on hospice within hours. Dr Steve made sure I had everything I needed to care properly for Bill and that he was comfortable. Dr Steve was wonderful he gave me his personal number to call him for anything. Bill passed away at home 8 days later. Dr Steve called me and told me how very sorry he was that they sincerely thought Bill was going to do good with the treatments. Dr Steve knew Bill and I are Christians and have a strong belief in our Lord and Savior, he said to me “Robin remember how I told you we would get him building again, well he may not be building here, but now his building with the most amazing carpenter Jesus Christ”. In closing I have to say oncologist doctors are not miracle workers, they are human beings that have hard jobs to do every day and people go to them with the worst news ever they have cancer. Yes they have made amazing strides with cancer research and treatments and more and more people are surviving. Unfortunately that’s not always the case and when a patient doesn’t make it many times people blame the doctors. In mine and Bill’s case, we were told in Vegas by the oncologist that if we chose to do nothing he would pass very quickly, if we chose treatment only God knows how much more time we would have. We chose God and God gave us 8 more weeks. So rather than blame the doctors I chose to thank them for giving us those 8 additional weeks. Bill loved each and everyone one of the staff there so much but John his Rad Tech was his angel and you kept us both smiling, and then there is sweet Elise who Bill kidded with every time we’d check in, he told me she’s like one of our granddaughters. One thing Bill wanted to do is ring the bell and get his certificate, but sadly that didn’t happen, but he’s ringing it in heaven. Thank you all for the love and compassion we always felt each time we came in. God bless each and everyone of you."
