Sharkey's Cuts for Kids - Gilbert, AZ

"Good evening, I took my 2 daughters for haircuts. I explained to the stylist that my youngest wanted her hair right below her chin but I thought it would be too drastic of a change and i wanted it below her shoulders and pointed with my finger to where her short sleeved shirt landed on her arm. The stylist confirmed she understood how much i wanted cut. I saw her make her first cut and immediately realized that it was way shorter than I asked. I mentioned it to the stylist but I saw my daughter's face and didn't want to make her feel insecure or self conscious so I let it be for the time being but strongly believe that the stylist needs to be trained on listening to the parents wishes not the child's. It was not the great experience I was expecting from the recommendations I had received.  I requested 3.5 inches and she easily cut off 6.5. I emailed them with my concerns and didn't receive a response."

"Shamiah is amazing with her barber skills! I won't take my son anywhere else. She is fast, kind, and pays attention to detail. And this Sharkeys location is fun for the kids and all of the stylists are great."

"I have an almost 2.5 year old who was diagnosed autistic and this was his first time getting a real hair cut. Heather was recommended to use for kids on the spectrum because of how well she does with them! They were not wrong!! Omg he did SOOO good with her. Complete opposite of what I thought would happen. She was so wonderful and nice. 100% would recommend her. We will definitely be back when due for a hair cut!!"

"We’ve come to this Sharkey’s location before and it’s been fine. We’ve gone to the Mesa location for longer. I think that the ladies who cut all three of my boys’ hair yesterday were in a rush. 2 of the 3 haircuts are absolutely atrocious. It’s obvious a mistake was made on my oldest boy because one side is faded in like it’s supposed to be and the other side is completely cut off, like a half Mohawk. The younger boy has straight bangs on the front (and they’re crooked!). All three boys have burns from the clippers as well because of the rushing. I can’t believe I paid over $100 for these horrible horrible haircuts. I’m so upset and my oldest starts school this week and there’s no way to fix the hair the way that it’s been done. I should’ve asked for a refund right then and there."

"Our son is 4 years old and hasn't had a professional in years since his first experience scared him. We thought maybe the shark theme would help! Sure enough he did great once inside. He immediately picked the fire truck to sit in. Then Heather was calm and patient with him as she went to work. So awesome how fast she is while keeping it fun. There's also a television for kids to watch shows or play video games. Overall great experience and we'll be back. To top it all off, the kids get a balloon."
