"I went into the salon a week before my wedding to make sure they could do my nails how I wanted for my wedding and get a price. I was quoted $40. When I checked out it was OVER $100. Don’t get wrong, they looked amazing, just like the picture I showed them…. But not what I was quoted!!! Went back 3 weeks later, just for a one color dip and was charged $45. They definitely overcharge !!!!"

"I've been seeing Jackie for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. She has the upmost attention to detail and will replicate any IG/tick tok nail finds. She spends her time on the manicure (cuticles, filling and shaping) and you never feel rushed. She's incredibly kind and professional. The facility is clean, organized and the staff is friendly. They have a huge nail color selection too!"

"This was my first visit to Luxor as I am new to the area from Utah. I went in for a gel fill. The price on-line for a fill is $50. I wanted a Galaxy gel polish design. I showed the tech and another staff photos of what I wanted, and asked for the total price. They proceeded to speak to each other in their own language, and I asked them to speak in English so I could understand what they were discussing, especially since this was about the price. I feel this is a very rude business practice: to exclude the customer from the conversation. Anyway, they told me it would be $80! I was floored! I have never paid more than $55 before. Maybe that is just the going rate in this area. They also charged $5 to “shape” my nails. Not sure if this is specific to the coffin shape or what…I have never been charged extra to “shape” my nails. That has always been included in the service. I assume it was $80 because it needed 4 different colors to get the Galaxy design I requested. Anyway I agreed to give it a go. My tech was Jane. She was very thorough and gentle. No cutting or burning from the electric file. It took about an hour, so she was very quick. Usually when I’ve done something like this it’s about 90 minutes. I included photos here of what I wanted vs. what I got. It didn’t look the same at all, but I understand it’s nearly impossible to exactly duplicate another design without the same products, technique, etc. Overall they did turn out nice. The shape is really good, but the color patterns was a little underwhelming compared to what I wanted. If I’m honest, it looks more like a sparkly cats-eye-patchwork-quilt than a galaxy. I don’t really care for the concentrated patches. They don’t look bad, it’s just not what I had envisioned. I’m giving 4 stars because I felt like it was overpriced and because Jane put globs of oil on my cuticles and then let it run all over my fingers and hands and then told me to wipe it off or wash my hands, whichever I preferred. For that price, I expected the oil to at least be massaged into my cuticles for me. So it wasn’t totally bad, just not what I’m used to. I may shop around to see what others are charging for this same service since there is this type of salon on every corner around here. Also, my final charge was $82.40. Apparently there is a $2.40 “service fee”. I really feel like these places nickel and dime you to death. Not a fan of that business practice. I’m unsure if I will return to Luxor. It wasn’t a bad experience, but it didn’t blow my skirt up either."
