"My first visit was fine. The next visit was mediocre. Then it went really bad. Do not get color from Karen as she obviously doesn't know how. I went from my pretty platinum to a dull mouse Grey. I asked for a refund and received 70.00 out of 200.00. Thus the 2 stars. Karen shouldn't commit to a process she can't create. I now have to pay to get it fixed after I grow it out from the bad cut and color. I'm sure not all the stylists are bad but don't go here for a baliage or something technical. Good for simple cuts only. And blowouts are extra!"

"I've never given a negative review to a business but our experience here was so bad. Appointments for 2 kids haircuts. Both of my girls have bobs and wanted them shorter. The stylist seemed annoyed when I asked if she would shampoo them, said I would happily pay extra. 5 year old requests a shorter bob that angled down in the front and the stylist told her that would look "weird", commenting on my daughter's "long neck". She's 5, who talks to a child that way? First red flag, but we were there and the kids were excited. The cut was no better than I could do at home, which I've been doing, but thought it would be nice to have a professional take care of them. Next up was my 9 year old, requesting the same kind of cut, to which the stylist told her would "look ugly". Kicking myself for not walking out right then. Stylist then proceeded to give my daughter an absolutely botched cut. When she was close to finished she was asked to please make it shorter, so she cut the front of her hair shorter. I'm attaching pictures. 2 bad cuts for $27 each. 9 year old is still furious. I got their hair fixed before spring break was over, thankfully. Didn't want to leave a review but Cost Cutters hasn't responded to my email to customer service. Heads up, there are a few locally owned salons in the neighborhood that do much better work and are comparable in price, which I learned too late. Don't make my mistake. Make an appointment somewhere else."

"Johanna cut my curly hair very well the first time. However, when I went back for a trim, she butchered my hair using all the wrong techniques for curly hair that she, herself, had stated the first time. She appeared wrecked and stressed and made no attempt to fix her mistakes, but rather ushered me out the door with my hair wet. It's a shame because she is obviously capable of good hair cutting technique. But, one bad experience can sour everything. I won't be back."
