"I went to this shop because I was travelling from north to south on the Arizona Trail and my sleeping mat got a hole somewhere near Kearny. That's how I ended up in this outdoor shop and received excellent advice. Above all, the employee Randy was highly competent, friendly and even gave me his own tape for my blister on my foot. "Only food available when the two restaurants are closed in tiny tourist settlement, yet the huge cookies and hot pizza were quite good, as well as a relief from the wind and freezing cold. Lovely modern log structure fits the area perfectly. Delightful staff even if one arrives to a line waiting on the observatory tour."

"My husband and I came here to take a look at some items for our travels, specifically at some suitcases for long trips. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality. We also took a look at some of their hiking items and I have to say that this is probably the best hiking store I have been to. Would definitely recommend."
