"I had never heard of this place. I wanted to try a Chicago deep dish. It was okay. Not great. Just okay. It would have been so much better if the pizza dough didn't taste exactly like homemade biscuits. That's what turned me off. That and the $50 price tag for a large pizza."

"Being from Pittsburgh I had my first Lou’s pizza when visiting friends in Chicago. They took me to the original restaurant. Loved it from day 1! And the one in Mesa is just as good! Wish they’d open one in Pittsburgh! The salad is just as amazing! Highly recommend Lou’s!"

"I’ve had Lou Malnati’s a handful of times of the years during trips to Illinois. My kids had received coupons for a free personal pizza so we went in to order theirs & get a pizza for myself & my husband. Deep dish takes 30 min, which is fine, just make sure you know ahead. Pros: the staff is super friendly Pizza tastes good Sauce had a good flavor, I’d buy that stuff in a bottle! Cons: $80 for a single large deep dish pizza & 3 bottles of soda seems a bit high There is no menu; you have to scan & use your cellphone to view. Crust was super thin"

"This pizza was so disappointing. Ordered the deep dish butter crust, it was thick and rock hard. It was not the flakey buttery crust I am used to from Chicago. And for a deep dish, the ratio of toppings to crust was way off. Do not recommend"

"I have a bit of an obsession with Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza. I've made it a personal mission to find the best in Phoenix. I've come up pretty disappointed, even with the direct-from-Chicago franchises. None really did it for me, until now. This pizza is pretty great. It's not the best I've EVER had, but I'd probably give it an enthusiastic #2 (there's a place down in Tucson that's just killer)."
