Cayton's Restaurant

"During our recent visit to Cayton's Restaurant, our experience was a blend of both delightful and underwhelming moments. The restaurant, being part of the renowned Ritz-Carlton establishment, set high expectations that were not entirely met. Regrettably, the main dish I opted for, a burger, was overcooked, lacking the juiciness and flavor one would anticipate in a high-end dining context. Additionally, the fries that accompanied the burger were undercooked, leading to a disappointing texture and overall taste experience. On a brighter note, my wife's choice of the farmhouse salad with chicken, mixed greens, avocados, and pears was a highlight of our meal. She thoroughly enjoyed the freshness and the harmonious blend of flavors, which demonstrated the kitchen's capability to excel. However, a notable disappointment came from the BBQ dinner, specifically the Mac and cheese, which was expected to complement the barbecue offerings delightfully. Contrary to our expectations for a hearty and comforting side dish, the Mac and cheese lacked the appealing creamy and indulgent quality one would look forward to. Although it was evidently homemade, it didn't meet the visual or taste standards that we anticipated, especially in the context of a barbecue meal at such a prestigious venue. In sum, while there were aspects of our meal at Cayton's Restaurant that we enjoyed, particularly the salad, other components, including the integral part of the BBQ dinner, were not up to par with the high standards we expected from a Ritz-Carlton dining experience."

"This is THEE premier dining experience in all of the Dove Mountain/Oro Valley area, 2nd to none, without a doubt! Ready for a secret? Happy Hour from 3-6 was VERY REASONABLE. Setting: 10/10 stars whether inside or out you have a choice of pristine seating options, near the driving range outside or inside by the swanky bar or double fireplace. Speaking of fireplaces, outside seating also offers a dual fireplace for cozy evening events. We had an incredible view of the golf course with a fabulous sunset in a stunning setting. Service: 10/10 stars with wonderful Alyssa (pronounced Eh-LISA) and her beaming smile, she was SUPER attentive, kind and over-the-top accommodating any reasonable request made by our dining party. Kitchen: 10/10 stars as they happily replaced the pork with salmon on their phenomenal flatbread. Uh....TRY IT! How delicious to meet you! If that wasn't great enough, their tap list featured one of our most favorite IPAs from Tirrito Farms of Wilcox, Arizona as their Tombstone-like NECTARON IPA is mind blowing. The wine list is nothing short of spectacular, but spectacular may fall a little short in describing this incredible destination. The other plus is Cayton’s always goes out of their way for special requests. That’s so refreshing isn’t it?! Hello!? Uh, get there, like now."

"Absolutely a hidden gem! Great atmosphere, come to watch the sunset. Best smoked wings ever! Chef is amazing! Fantastic strip steak burgers awesome and the Saturday special pulled pork can't be beat. The GM Adam is my new best friend. Great job everyone, we'll be back."

"We had lunch and dinner here during our stay and this is a beautiful and very tasty restaurant! Yes, the burgers served at lunch quite seriously are about the best burgers my wife and have ever had! Thick with juice running down your hand good! But the dinner was also mouth watering! My wife had the Yardbird chicken that had been expertly brined and was so yummy! I had the shrimp and grits and it was like I was in the best place in New Orleans! So creamy and good! See the pictures for sure and try this place! Great setting on the Dove Mountain golf course with the sunset!"

"This was an amazing golf course! The atmosphere swas amazing. We had a group out there and they did an amazing job. We even got glow in the dark golf! Check out my pictures. If you get a chance to go please do you won't be disappointed. They smoke there own meat there as well!"
