"My experience with Joe and his business was very pleasant. He's very knowledgeable and demonstrated that people still do good, honest work. If you need work done and worry about being in good hands, look no further."

"These guys are amazing. When you have an emergency, everyone expects theirs to be top priority. Took about 3 weeks for the entire job to be completed but it didn't interrupt us as we have a 2nd bathroom. They were at the house when they could while still handling other emergencies. Kenny and Andrew were awesome. Polite, friendly and always cleaned up after themselves. I was in contact with the owner several times during the job. Always received a call back to answer my questions. I'd recommend 5 Star to anyone needing their service. Thanks guys"

"So far so good. This job will take about 2 weeks but as it is now they are doing a great job. Just as their name says I give them 5 stars."

"TLDR; owner quit part way through the job after not being upfront with us about the process. We woke up one morning to a pipe burst. Kenny from 5 Star came right out, assessed the damage and dried out the space. Kenny was fantastic and we felt like we were in great hands. A few days later both Kenny and the owner, Joe, came out. Joe planned to send in guys to pull up flooring and take out the damaged cabinets. He sent Marcus who was very helpful and let us know everything they did for the day and we'd hear more soon. The only other correspondence we got from Joe, without us having to reach out, was an email with links to vanities from Home Depot. He said to chose one in stock and they could come out the next week to install. At this point our insurance sent out an adjuster who wrote up an estimate for damages and sent us money. Having received money with a detailed list of how much we were given for each item we were told by insurance to go ahead and order supplies. Since Joe had only mentioned vanities we purchased those. My husband emailed Joe we had vanities. Joe then informed us that purchasing materials was his job and that by us purchasing them we had cut his ability to make profit. Oops! We were not familiar with this process, it seemed we made a mistake. We sent Joe all the information from insurance, he talked to our insurance agent and said we were good to move forward. We went weeks without information. I texted Joe to find out where we were going.  We had the vanities that we were told could be installed quickly and it had been several weeks without any progress. Joe had been out of town and assured me he would get his guys together when he was back. Trying to be proactive I asked about flooring and who they worked with so that we could pick floors and order. We still hadn't even discussed flooring at a month into the process. He gave me their information and the flooring was ordered that day. The flooring company didn't bill me but said they would submit their information to Joe as was typical. When my husband reached out again after another week of no information, Joe responded that since we had taken over as "general contractor" by ordering materials we had cut him out of the loop and profit. He said he would send us his bill that day and wished us best luck on the project. We were astounded. We had 2 bathrooms torn apart, waiting to be repaired and we certainly didn't feel like we had taken over the job. Confused,  I called him right away. I apologized that there had been a misunderstanding and explained that because we never received communication from Joe as to how the process should look we were relying on the information we received from our insurance company. I asked for better communication so that we were involved and knew what was going on. No more communication came. After discussing the matter with my insurance it was clear we had no choice but to change companies part way through the job. It had been 5 weeks with very little planning or communication, our only bathrooms were torn apart,  and Joe's lack of patience for our intial mistake was enough. Joe was unhappy he was left "out of the loop" in dealing with insurance but we feel he was keeping us out of the loop by not explaining the process to us and trying to bypass the homeowner to work straight with insurance. It seems he was finished working with us after we bought vanities which would explain why he stopped communicating. We were completely in the dark and because of our confusion we bought something and unknowingly stepped on Joe's toes. It was an honest mistake. We switched to another company and within the first 15 minutes of talking to their owner we already had a better understanding of the process than after 5 weeks with 5 Star. Better communication and up front information on the process could have made this a very different experience. I can only assume the company was overwhelmed and Joe needed something off his plate. It's unfortunate for all that this went sideways."

"I want to give a big Thank You to the company 5 Star Disaster Services. A while back one of my foster care homes in ontario needed some costly repairs in our downstairs bathroom. I called and the team came out that same day to give me an estimate for the repairs. The guys were awesome and after they found out about the wonderful work being done in this home for foster kids in our community, the company decided to do the work for free that same day! The team worked quickly and professionally to get the job done! This company really cares about people in our community. Again, thank you so much for the excellent work done right!"
