"Would NOT recommend staying here... TOO MANY BUGS! At first it was just moths. One dead one on the ground and at least 1 alive. I was grossed out/annoyed (a little) but I wasn't going to let it ruin my stay. Then I went into the bathroom and there was a millipede crawling around the floor. This didn't gross me out that much but still I was annoyed. "Ok whatever," I thought. Then I heard buzzing and looked up in the bathroom and there were lots of what looked like mosquitoes. I was actually starting to get really annoyed because I was reading the reviews and people complained about bed bugs and I was skeptical at first but I really wouldn't doubt those claims. I was actually so paranoid about these claims that I didn't use the bedding and just slept on the bed without removing the sheets. Continuing on my bug journey... I stumbled upon what looked like a black cricket under a chair. Later on when I went to get my shoes guess what I found inside of my shoe... THE BLACK CRICKET. After that I was SUPER ANNOYED and struggled to fall asleep. We did not keep the door open we came in and out (for people who are wondering). We ended up catching it and gave it a ride down the toilet. There were also some flies flying around and all I heard was buzzing while trying to sleep. It was also dirty and my socks were getting wet as I walked on the carpet...the bottom of our feet started to turn black (look dirty). The internet kept cutting in and out and it was just a rough stay. Look I get it, I didn't pay a ton of money for it but honestly I still think it should have been somewhat better/decent. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! Pay the little bit more money if you can, to sleep in a cleaner place."

"If reliable wifi isn't critical, definitely consider this motel. Room is small but otherwise had everything that I needed: comfortable bed and pillows, good heat for a cold night, microwave and small fridge, abundant hot water with good pressure. Right off a busy highway but when heater/ac is turned on, device serves as a sound machine and I didn't hear highway traffic. Bed linens were comparable to those I've had in higher-priced hotels. I slept very well. Very clean, no bugs, and the price was super! Deducted one star for the poor wifi."

"I stay long term for work and they clean my room everyday and they put my mail or packages in my room for me. They take real good care of me. The price is great by the week. It is where I stay when I'm working in the area. I stayed 6 months once and am working on another stay that long again."

"Visiting my boyfriend rented a room here at The Kansan for a week she gave me a weekly rate of 190 + tax came to 230. Wish had been told about the tax as it seems pricey but the room itself is very clean and worth it. Smelled a little of cigarette smoke the first day, but after opening the windows and asking the cleaning ladies to wash all the blankets and sheets it smelled better. The staff are all friendly the beds and pillows comfy & clean no bed bugs thank God my biggest concern was that. Bathroom remodeled and modern. Flat screen TV with up to 100 channels and wifi. A few restaurants and stores within walking distance. The Copper Pistol has amazing clothing for women and candles etc. Check it out it's a lovely store."
