"I went to big 5 to buy a new backpack for search and rescue. The sales person was extremely knowledgeable super friendly and got me a better backpack than the one I went to go get and it was cheaper. I'm really glad I went there. I highly recommend you stop here for your outdoor needs."

"The cashier at the front had an absolutely terrible demeanor. The item I planned on buying was priced wrong. When I brought it up, she was rude, condescending, and short. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, she replied with a short "what, you want to talk to them?" When she called up the manager, they were on a break. Then a young man came up, and asked how he could help. While I was describing what had happened, she kept interrupting, and adding her views. During one of these interruptions, I stopped and told her she needed to leave. Which she did, and went to the back of the store. While continuing the conversation with the supervisor, we could see her talking and pointing at the front where we were standing, with a very angry face. The young man was very polite, but this young girl was so terrible that I will never step for in Big 5 again."

"Great selection of product BUT customer service was subpar. There were four employees and no one seemed to be very customer friendly. When I did enter the store, I had asked if they had a certain item. The girl at front went to go ask her Manager, but when she returned to the front she never gave me a response, but instead continued her conversation with another employee at the front checkout. So I had to ask her if she found out about the item I initially had asked about and she said that they didnt have that item I also spent a lot of time in the shoe dept. and each time I was wanting to try on a pair of shoes or different sizes, each time I had to go and seek out assistance. The Big5 I remember there seemed to be someone wanting to assist you and was always an employee in/around the shoe dept. I did end up finding a pair of shoes I liked for a good price as well, but the customer service definitely needs improvement."
