As parents we all want what is best for our kids and their future. We want them to be good.kind human beings and be able to protect themselves if needed. The leadership skills taught at this studio are top notch, they provide kids with the opportunity to learn the skills to become instructors in the future and be the best. My daughter attends classes, is on leadership, competes on the team, and is at the studio 5 days a week. Since she has been attending Kellison academy she has gotten stronger, more confident, learned responsibility, accountability, and so much more. As the kids advance they are challenged to achieve their full potential. Parents, learning martial arts is not easy by any means and at this studio that is not all that is taught. Starting as soon as you walk into the building kindness is displayed by leadership as well as students. As parents we know kids struggle with listening, following directions, etc. it is no different on the mat, so the expectations must be upheld to teach the importance of rules and following directions as well as respect. This may mean if they do not say yes sir they get exercises, if they do not listen they get exercises, if they are rude or unkind they get exercises. The higher in rank the more expectations grow. There are world champions, Junior Olympians, National champions, and regional champions at this studio and they are held to the highest standards and provide learning opportunities for others that have just started. The instructor cares about his students and provides a safe and fun learning environment for the kids. As parents we all look for the best for our children and this studio is the best. Martial arts not only teaches the kids but also the parents, we learn that the kids need our support, our commitment, and our time. Martial arts impacts us all both mentally and physically, the strength we all develop is life changing. Communication is an important aspect in life and if there is a problem the team is always there to answer any questions or help with any problems, all you have to do is reach out."

"This is the best place to learn martial arts. The instructors have passion that is transferred down to the students. My daughter has learned to respect herself and her self esteem has improved since enrolling. I could not recommend a better environment or teacher to learn some self defense. If anyone is on the fence I fully recommend you coming to class and see for yourself the care this instructor has for his students."

"This dojo lacks integrity unlike what it states on their website. They choose to show favoritism and bullying instead. They like to single out a select few of students that are not qualified to teach the class and push them to have biased opinions of their peers though every student works hard. If a certain student doesn’t fit the narrative then they are singled out. My child went there several years and when his priorities changed he was shunned by the owner and others followed suit. Ray Kellison only focuses on the money making aspect of business and the kids suffer for it!"

"Favoritism and lack of direction plague this dojo. From allowing select kids to teach classes when they shouldn’t be to not letting kids test for higher belts even after proving that they are ready. Also bullying in the form of “punishment” exercises for some kids while others are allowed to do absolutely whatever they want. Not a good place to learn martial arts."

"Our son has been enrolled in the Kellison Academy of Martial Arts class for 2.5 years. It has been one of the largest character building experiences out of all of the sports he participates in. The owner has a sincere passion for the development of each child on and off the mat. We appreciate this school for everything they do, and would recommend it to everyone."
