About the Business

Kids Across America

Kids Across America (KAA) is an institution located at 2036 Timberlake Road in Branson, Missouri, United States. Our mission at KAA is to build Christian leaders by empowering urban youth and their mentors through camping and education. We integrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ into every sport and activity to lay a foundation of faith for the next generation of leaders. Through sports and activities, we foster relationships that empower youth to make positive changes in their communities for Christ. We strive to stay culturally relevant to enhance our campers' experiences and aid in their spiritual growth. Our environment is filled with fun and excitement every day, creating a memorable and impactful experience for all campers. Our Higher Ground program is a three-year Christian Leadership Camp focused on biblical Disciple-Making and Servant-Leadership Development for high school students. We have trained over 4,000 campers from 30 states, many of whom have gone on to become Summer Staff at KAA and excel in various fields. Volunteering at KAA provides a unique opportunity to work with underprivileged kids and make a difference in their lives. Our camp has touched the lives of many individuals, helping them find faith, purpose, and community. Join us at Kids Across America to be a part of this transformative experience and make a positive impact on the lives of urban youth.

"One of the worst experiences in my life . As a worker we were expected to work like Hebrew slaves for pennies. The full time staff sat around and pushed most of the work on to people there seasonal. The pay sucked and the little bit that we got paid we had to fight and struggle to get it correct. Horrible leaderships. There are always fights amongst the kids. So much miscommunication with staff. It's not worth your time going trust me."

"I absolutely love this place. My children have gone so many times and they always enjoy their time there! This was my first time driving there and it was very hilly which was an experience!"

"My daughter attended this camp for this first time she cried everyday being that they aren’t allowed to call home. She also said the restrooms weren’t clean or the trailers where they sleep… they aren’t allowed to eat after 6pm not even a snack. The idea of her being away learning more about God was a plus but I didn’t know camp would be more like being an inmate. She will never return."

"I will never forget this place! I would not be the woman I am today nor would I have the faith that I have in Christ! I'm forever grateful for this experience! 2006, 2007, 2008 ! KAA YOU KNOW!"

"I have been taking kids to Kids Across America camp for seven years. It’s a wonderful experience for many of them who have never been in the great outdoors. The first couple of days they’re shocked because they have no technology but then they get used to it and learn camp songs and are involved in many sports activities as well as meeting people from all over the United States. And they also get to hear the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is an excellent Camp!"
