"This company is committing fraud and I am looking to hire an attorney. Allied Insurance is acting in bad faith, I cannot believe they are getting away with this level of SCAM. Read other reviews, beware. I am getting calls from debt collectors years later finding out that this Insurance company did NOT pay for my medical claims. Now I am stuck paying for all of it out of pocket."

"I have had Allied National as an insurance provider for about 6 years. It is so wonderful to have 'no network' and be able to choose your provider. I didn't have a single issue for 3.5 years... until I had my son and needed an emergency c-section. Shortly thereafter, my son had several hospital stays and medical complications. We ran into a major balance billing issue (which others have written about regarding how much you owe according to your EOB v how much the hospital says you owe due to a 'discount' implemented by Allied). The balance billing issues were A LOT of money (read: PICU, extended hospital stay, neurological disorder, etc).... I was really worried about the balance billing - and I couldn't go to another hospital as we did not have another pediatric hospital locally. The hospital even sent me to collections in an attempt to get paid. With all of this being said - it felt really hard to go through - BUT, in the end - Allied did their job, negotiated the bills and I simply had to pay what was on the EOB. So - if you would like an open network with a clear explanation of benefits and a plan that does what they say the will do, Allied National is an excellent company and I would recommend as a carrier. Thank you, Allied."
"If you work for a company and want to be an ambassador, you need to believe in the product. I have researched Allied National and the group of products they sell. The Better Business Bureau does not recognize Allied National or any of its products. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama is not accepted by a broad spectrum of providers. BCBS of Alabama recently acquired Allied National. To sum up, my review, be very careful in selecting this company or the products."
