Horizon Trails Apartments

"Ben and his team are incredible! They have always been prompt, accessible, helpful, kind, and understanding! We lived at Horizon Trails for five years and would have stayed indefinitely had our family circumstances not abruptly changed. Our dogs loved the open fields and grassed areas which were always well maintained. We enjoyed the updated washer and dryer units along with the large dishwasher and refrigerator. The covered deck area (with storage closet) is something we will definitely miss! Neighbors were kind and quiet; there is plenty of parking and the snow removal was always quick and prompt. My daughters enjoyed the pool and workout area; we loved renting the club house out to hold my daughter’s graduation party. If you’re looking for a well maintained, clean, safe, family (and pet) friendly location close to the interstate this is definitely the place to check out! We’ve rented in other Gardner apartments that we’d never return to but I would certainly rent here again should the opportunity arise!"

"I lived here for a year. In that year, my refrigerator was never able to keep milk good for longer than a few days, and freezer couldn't keep ice cream or meat frozen. When I asked maintenance for mulch or grass seed to cover the mud pit outside my patio 3 separate times, they finally responded by haphazardly tossing the thinnest layer of mulch possible down, mostly over areas that weren't mud. The parking lot is trashed and it doesn't seem they are willing to do anything about the mountain of asphalt rising. When I moved out, they kept my $300 deposit and decided to charge another $95 on top of that for unproven things like 'yellow/brown stain on carpet' I can assure there was no stain, and 'door jam stretching' I can assure anyone who moves in will be annoyed with the insane amount of pointless emails they receive, the rules given out like candy, despite two amenities available, and the lack of of any management available past 3pm when normal people get out of work and can actually come up to complain in person. New management needed ASAP, as Ben is essentially useless."

"I really enjoyed my stay at these apartments. The manager, Ben, is very nice and respectful. He has been super helpful throughout my stay and with my move-out process. He has always gotten management to me within a few days whenever I had a request. The only issue I ever had were noisy neighbors, but thats bound to happen in any apartment complex. Neighbors were always nice as well! It can be super hard to get ahold of anyone in the office, but Ben has always been excellent at responding to my emails in a timely manner!"

"Not sure what everyone else is talking about. From what I saw the complex is very nice. Ben in particular was extremely helpful and professional. I was looking for a place somewhat last mintue and he helped me to the fullest extent without being overbearing like a salesman. He was also more than happy making accommodations for my service dog. I wouldn’t base your decision of off some of these petty entitled peoples’ reviews. Go see for yourself, that’s what I did and I couldn’t be happier. Also I was NOT offered a discount for this review. Update: Lived there for a year with ZERO problems, only reason I moved was to be closer to work. Highly recommend!"

"I’ve been a long term resident and couldn’t be happier with the apartment complex or the management staff especially since Ben took over as manager. He is always friendly and approachable and has quickly responded to any issues that have come up. My service requests have always been completed timely and to my satisfaction. When I first applied to be a resident Ben worked with me to make sure to find me the right apartment that met all my specific needs and he has always responded quickly to my calls and inquiries for various items that have come up. Horizon Trails is a great community in which I feel safe and comfortable to live and raise my children."
