"I’d just like to say patient insurance concerns are best addressed with your insurance provider, then your holder of the policy whether it’s your union, HR, your Medicare selection. Your selection has nothing to do with any of your physicians except they are bound by your insurance policies & procedures therefore must follow their guidelines in steps of care. If you desire more information on those guidelines you have the right to contact your insurance carry directly & have it explained to you in a calm professional manner. You pay them, their policy is yours to work within. They usually have a network of trained physicians who oversee all policy & procedures to mitigate healthcare within their financial guidelines. Now if you still have concerns take heart you still have avenues. Take it up with your Union rep, HR Dept, whatever Dept governs insurance, but understand realistically no one has that Money tree, everyone has a money box called Budget. This is just information from my own personal & professional experience. I’m not starting a debate & will not respond to debate. I’m a pain management patient, a RN who had had to retire from a career I loved, due to daily pain. But moreover to the real reason I wrote after reading a patient’s complaint who didn’t understand his own insurance. I want you to know also my personal healthcare opinion… As an Outpatient Surgery Director who worked beside Dr Krishnan and staff professionally. No one thoughts, professional knowledge, skilled craft, is more patient centered on relieving pain, than Dr. Suresh Krishnan. I witnessed & on many occasions interrupted him myself to take a call between cases from an insurance medical director to ascertain his patient’s condition was fully understood, and met the insurance guidelines, but most importantly would help relieve the patient’s suffering. Be blessed for such dedicated healthcare providers, if you have them in your area. We are blessed with Dr Suresh M. Krishnan."
