Deer Creek Park

"My son loves this park so much. It is space-themed so my family calls it Rocket Park. It's about 20 minutes from us so we only go every so often; if it was closer to our house we'd go as often as possible. There are always kids there, even if it's only 1 or 2 of them. It's such a good-sized park that my son always gets a good workout!"

"The playground was refurbished in the last year, and a synthetic (or something) sand pit was added. A good idea in theory, but the sand gets brought to the play area and makes it SO slick to try and walk/run on. I've seen a child or adult slip 4 visits in a row. It's a fun playground overall. Just be mindful of the slippery sand on the rubber ground of the playground area. If that was addressed, I would give the park 4 stars."

"I have been going to this park since I was a little kid. And now I can start to take my own kids to the Rocket Park. It’s a great experience and tradition in my family to go to the Rocket Park. Can’t wait to make more memories with my kids. Your kids will never not have an amazing time here."

"This is a delightful park with a space-themed playground that is both well designed and well maintained. There are several large fields, one of which has two big soccer goals set up, and a walking path that goes around the perimeter of the park. There are also a few picnic pavilions and a concession stand (which I assume is only open during events here)."

"Really nice large playground, tons of swings and fun theme. A little muddy right after the floods but after a few days it dried out. Right along deer creek Greenway so great for a bicycle day."
