"Buyer BEWARE…. A hard pill to swallow as the 2024 year kicks off! Dominique was timely and professional. The environment was neat, clean, and pleasant. She definitely knows her profession BUT she needs to be more transparent about pricing. I was told a price range by phone for sisterlocs, which was up to $1500. Not sure what changed at the time of consultation which was 3 days later, when I was quoted $2200.00. My hair length is 3-4 inches. Be very careful when making your decision to proceed and putting up your deposit! Dominique refused to refund my $530.00 deposit just 2 days after paying it due to becoming sick and testing positive for COVID. I wanted to put everything on hold to recover but was only given a “rescheduling” option. Instead, Dominique refused to refund me, citing a “non refundable” guideline, which is listed on a policy dating back to 2017. This is important to note because during my consultation with Dominique, she X’d out her “retie rates”. She told me “not to pay attention to that page” as her retie rates had changed, yet this happened to be the same page that the cancellations/rescheduling guidelines are on. I read every single page of the pamphlet BUT that one! Please be very careful as you choose a logician before putting ANY AMOUNT of a deposit down and take your time and consult with more than 1 loctician. Someone refusing to refund money that was NEVER EARNED is unacceptable, especially it being more than $500.00! This is a lot of money to not refund someone just on the strength that a person can choose to do so! Community is so important and we have to patronize businesses that uphold strong ethical and moral regard for protecting customers. This journey reflects a big decision one has made and locticians have an obligation to protect and serve. For this reason, I would never refer anyone to Dominique."
